I am interested in thoughts regarding a paypal dispute for vaping gear. Technically, Paypal is not supposed to be used for vaping purchases from what I understand. With that in mind, is there a way to initiate a dispute, or am I just out of luck?

A good well timed wink is invaluable.

;)
You are so right. And Nic Cage agrees.

My FL DL that I only ordered 10 days ago landed in Auckland today  I'm glad you are enjoying yours (and yep, I try to squonk my RTAs too ). What airflow insert are you using? Tell me more!!! It looks gorgeous on your Colossal too
I have only one insert that came with the atomizer, the 2x2.5mm. It is working great! 4/6ml vaped so far in this setup over ~8 hours. It tastes great, satisfies me, and doesn't use a lot of juice. Win, win win.

Open a dispute via PayPal. Don't mention product specifics. That's not PayPal's business, for them it is merely a monetary business.

I disputed a vape purchase I made last year for something that never came. The vendor refused to refund me or respond to my emails.

Right after I opened the dispute online I called PayPal's 800 number and asked for my dispute to be escalated. They did and PayPal refunded my money within 7 days. PayPal simply takes the money out of the vendors account and puts it in yours. Problem solved.

    Everybody needs a Luna

    krmaluna.jpg

The only reason I didn't get an Aegis squonk mod was the width. But @Anise has one and she has lil hands so that solves that problem :w00t:

    Toppers:
the Cthulhu 1928 is more MTL. Largest airflow hole is 2mm. The Holic may be slightly looser. Galaxies will be right up your alley

The BEST RDA at FT with regard to easy building/wicking (traps 28ga no problem), along with the best flavour in an RDA I've tried is - hands down the Haku Venna RDA. It's a perfect beginners bf RDA - deep well, hard to oversquonk, and very smooth airflow. For me wide open it's tight restricted lung / loose MTL. I actually found it a smidge too tight (I'd gone dark side by then)

Ok, good to know. This is regarding a Sourcemore purchase. It has now been over 2 and a half weeks since I placed the order. I have contacted them a few times, and every time they say it will be shipped within 24 hours. But as of right now, still not shipped. Pretty frustrating.

What is really disappointing is that I was planning on making at least one more order from them to finish filling out my stash of backup mods. But now, I am not very confident in dealing with them.

I've bought several items from sourcemore. My first order from them came in 8 days (last year). My second was about a month. Every one since has been about a month. With a couple that were longer.

I haven't ordered anything from them since the pandemic started so IDK how they have been impacted.

I would contact SM and tell them you will be disputing the transaction with PayPal. See what they do then. Might get things rolling.

@AngeNZ all your tripod photos and talk have convinced me it's my next RTA. I'd love to get the Atmizoo version - and still might - but the Ulton clone is in the cart for now. $24.95 ULTON Tripod Styled RTA Rebuildable Tank Atomizer - 2ml / stainless steel + glass / 22mm diameter at FastTech - Free Shipping
Ever since I bought a Vapeshell from Atmizoo I've been a regular visitor to their site. I love their designs, CS and overall vibe. Just a great company. The Tripod's out of stock at Atmizoo for now but a new batch should be in by late August. You are being redirected...

Here's the Qorax review of the authentic Tripod

I agree completely, I'd purchase an authentic Tripod if my wages let me. And the Tripod is a huge reason why I'm relooking at the blimmin dotaio so I can get a dotshell. There's a NZ store selling Atmizoo products:

My first order from Sourcemore shipped to me in a little over a week, so I was pretty confident thinking I actually found a reliable overseas company. But this is getting ridiculous. I think I will let them know that I am planning on filing a dispute.

My favorite beginner S(quonk)RDA is still the KRMA clone on Fasttech. Deepish juice wells, great flavor, excellent price. I've got around 30 BF RDA's, but this is one of my favorites. There's one in my rotation right now at all times. From what others have said though, don't tighten the post screws too much or they will break the terminals. Haven't had this happen yet, but it's something to keep in mind.

I totally agree. It's one of my favorite RDA's. Absolutely perfect for a beginner bf RDA. One is sitting on my SqEvo right now. ;)

Back to the unregulated Luna. It's easy to build for it, as you already know what wattage range you like using. For example - let's say your preferred range is 10-15 watts.

Open up an Ohm's law Calculator:
Ohms Law Calculator | Sub-Ohm Safely | Vaping Hardware

A full battery is 4.2v, but it drops pretty quickly to 4v.
Step 1: In the Voltage box put in 4
Step 2: In the Wattage box, put in the highest wattage you'd want to use. In my example it would be 15
Hit Calculate - and it will give you a Resistance. In our example it is 1.16ohms. That means you want to build a coil at around that resistance, to get your wattage range.

Final step is to make sure the battery you are using is safe for your build, so you want to find out how many amps (Current) your battery will pull.
    Once your coil is built:
Open the calculator, and enter the Resistance your coil came to: eg 1.10 ohms
In the Voltage box, enter 4.2 (always use 4.2v when checking your battery safety.
Click calculate and the Current result is 3.57A.

As most lower wattage 3000mah batteries have a CDR rating of 15A - your build is safe. If you want to find out the CDR rating for your battery, look at Mooch's 18650 Battery Rating Table, and find your battery there

Thank you, that was helpful. Science is confusing.

Good to hear that it's miserly, so many DL RTAs are juice guzzlers  I also think the 2x2.5mm (~3.54mm id) will suit me best. But if the sxk 2x3mm (~4.2mm id) actually fits in my noname FL DL clone - I'll try it out first

Last time I checked in was birthday I think. Hello everybody Hope it’s been a good couple months

I have rewicked since then but I’m pretty sure I’ve got the same coil. Usually I’d have built 8 coils min in this time! I go through 1 or 2 a week usually

Perhaps I rebuild too quickly. How long should my coils be lasting?
    Hope you've been well too.

My coils last months. All are either claptons (316L or kanthal), 316L simple round, micro aliens or an occasional simple round kanthal.

When I notice the flavor of my juice being off is when I roll up a new coil.

Some change coils weekly others go longer.

Congrats.....let us know the info then :D. How easy was the build with the new clamp system?

I've got two on the way and I'm on the list for the og when it opens. The coil clamp system on the Dvarw is my one grumble with my otherwise favourite tank :)

Your comments will be appreciated

Isn't that just on the RDA though?

I caught after I posted that she's talking about the RDTA tank and not the RDA... I know nothing about that one...
I’ve got several of the rdta. It’s about a thousand times (meh, maybe a slight exaggeration lol) than the rta
