My poor Juggerknot Mini now has bubble glass, along with a vape band and a hairtie. And of course it won't fit on the Mixx like that

Received my Shiny new tungsten carbide scissors today. Tested them on my thickest cottons, Mavaton's X and regular Mavaton's, and they are seriously surgically sharp. These cut through cotton like butter!

What's up with all the bubble glass hate here in Shinyville? I love bubble glass for the extra capacity. Juice disappears fast enough without limiting capacity if you don't have to. Just curious why the bubble glass hate. Did the bubble glass do something wrong to y'all, or is it just a subjective thing? View attachment 906703

+1 on bubble glass. Not on the Gear though. It looks like a burger with one.

Are you gentlemen and ladies using rayon or cotton and does it make a difference? One of the reasons I like cotton better is that it tends to expand when wet, thus sealing any possible gaps. Thoughts? Tips?

I use both rayon and cotton equally. Both work great in the Dvarw and every other RBA I have.

The only thing I would add is you use ~1/3 more overall rayon versus cotton. Something tells me you already knew that bit though.

With the Dvarw a 2.5mm, or a 2mm, ID coil you won't need to trim anything from the Tidi rayon balls. With cotton and a 2.5mm you may need to trim some from the tails of the wick depending on how thick or condensed your brand of cotton is.

I use Mavaton's and Carolina Blend cottons (by cottonman) and those are much more dense versus other cottons. IMO they wick better, perform better and outlast every other cotton I've tried.

Funny story time...
After my Wife's second fusion surgery she ran (not running) away from the hospital. I got a call from hospital security and one of her nurses. I hopped in the car and searched. Security and I found her at the same time. She was hobbling down the street about 3-4 city blocks from the hospital. I was a good husband and returned her to the care of the experts. She was fuming mad. Oh well, she was seriously in no shape to come home yet. She was an inmate for another week.
