Good morning Shiny's

Here's that lamb I yanked into this world a few weeks ago with her Mum:

She's still hamming it up for the cameraAll the wrinkles on her are classic Merino traits, so her fleece will be amazing.
Merinos have an extremely fine wool, which is why it's used in clothing: merino thermal layers, and more recently in dresses, and other garments. A 100gsm merino top will look just the same as the equivalent top in cotton.
This site explains a bit more about it:

You, go!!! That’s awesome!Good morning shiny people!
Lol... my husband's lost his mind!
I was dressing today, using all my "independence" tools, (after having showered) and DH starts taking pictures..
So I told him: "Don't take pictures of me dressing myself for the first time since surgery... what are we memorializing this for anyway?"
Do you know his response? He said: "in 5,000 years these photos will be in a museum somewhere, and people will say: look at all the tools people used to have to use to put on the intricate attire they used to wear!"
Hahaha... he's so crazy I swear!
But yea! I'm all showed and dressed and I did it all by myself! I'm a big girl now... hahaha
Merino, to my knowledge, is the softest of wools. A lot of people who are too sensitive to wear any other type can use it.
I find it too soft for socks - although many other sock knitters swear by it. My favorite is blue faced Leicester, which I buy from West Yorkshire Spinners in England. Almost as soft, but wears much better for socks.
If I were going to do a hat or scarf, it would have to be merino. Imho it’s better than cashmere.
Omg now I’m thinking how do you not pet those sheep to bits? I bet they’re beyond soft and squishy!
Now I'm interested!

I use 26/30 and 26/36 316L claptons. Also use 26g kanthal and ss316L occasionally.

Dvarw = Dvôrv (with the proper phonetic symbol).![]()
Sounds good. Got me some too. Sounds like its made from MerinoMorning shinies
Tried out Cloud 9 cotton this morning. It's extremely soft and fluffy, but holds its form well when you're working with it. So it's a good fit for an Exocet wick - just need to give it a few days now and see if it lasts as long as Kendo gold or Bacon prime
Fluffy as hell, and extremely cuddly. But they do get stroppy![]()
