I went to an NA meeting to support a colleague and I’ve been thinking of going ever since. There is something very powerful and maybe even deeply profound about opening up and sharing your story. I remember being deeply impressed by the people there.
there is nothing wrong with being a lifer to 12 step programs. Most of the really mentally healthy people I know do it. Being diligent to the 12 steps keeps you checking yourself often. Being aware of your hang ups and working on them is always a good thing ;)

Haven't posted nothing in a while.
Things rough at home, cat is out of the bag and my pops knows about my condition.

There is this nurse who has a big mouth and is evil like really evil i mean, like a cross between Angela Chaning from Falcon Crest and Cruella de Vil.

I talked to all the nurses beforehand so they wouldn't say anything to my pops,(her included),but we saw her at the Hospital were my pops had to meet the doc and she blurted it out...she knew what she was doing, she had this evil grin on her face.

She actually has been sued twice, she freelances on her spare time as a caretaker for the elderly that need help but don't want to rely on the family.
Those elderly passed away and then the family discovered the she emptied their bank account and took all the valuable possessions like jewels and such.

Trust me this person is evil.

So anyway, pops isn't mad at me...he understands why i didn't tell him but now he is depressed.
Like really depressed, can't get him out of bed...he only get's up for his dialysis sessions and to use the bathroom...apart from that he is just in bed.

Aren't nurses and doctors supposed to care of the well being of patients? in a physical way but also in a mental way,you know a kind word here or some encouragement goes a long way,how could this nurse person be so evil.

Well anyway im dealing with this on top of my sprained shoulder and my radiotherapy appointments (almost halfway there thou) almost no side effects apart from being a bit tired.

Ok enough off topic, back to vaping.

Order from fasttech is on it's way,a Pink Colossal (wink wink @Daniel Forsyth ) and a couple of cool looking pink themed drip tips.

The OFRF Gear RTA? wow that has been a pain, ordered from ecigwarehouse wiithout looking for reviews before placing the order and yeah....not good.
So that order is on dispute with paypal at the moment.

Had to use all my google searching prowess to find a OFRF Gear RTA in rainbow to go matchy matchy with the new Pink Colossal, luckily i found a shop in the UK that had one in stock.

From what i hear in reviews and such the OFRF is a little flavor banger, maybe that is why they are so hard to find.

Anyway not much more to tell, hope everyone is keeping safe and healthy.

Cheers

Hey Cloud. Sorry to hear that your dad found out. That nurse seems pretty awful. Hard to believe that she still has a career in medicine. I am glad to hear that the chemo side effects have been mild for you however.

I've never heard of ecigwarehouse, but I guess I know now to avoid them in the future. Hope you like the Gear when you finally get it. I know it is pretty well reviewed.

Is the 12 step program over or is there anyone else that wants to share?

Since you ask so nicely  and after reading all the lovely sharing. I never had a problem with drugs, I tried MJ but nothing else, I do with depression (for which at times I used to seek solace in alcohol, nothing huge tho) but it has been pretty much been behaving since I moved to NZ but now that you mention the following:"addictive behaviour" mine through life have been collecting and I throw myself into it full on. When I was younger I collected rubbers of all kinds, shapes, colours and smells, then it was pens, then pocket knives and now vape gear . Even my brother said to me just last week when he saw me on FaceTime with another vape "oh this is like your pen obsession"

She has violated what we have here in the states called The HIPPA act. You might have something similar. I worked in mental health the last few years I worked and it is strictly forbidden not to guard against the patients privacy

I was thinking the same thing. Very sketchy behavior for a health professional.

OMG I so hear you, obsessive, compulsive and all or nothing, a feast or a famine ... with everything! I don't seem to have any understanding of the art of moderation, I seem to suffer from the disease of more.

Frozen chickens on special in the supermarket.....buy tons, can't fit them in freezer, end up giving them away to family and neighbours, see a new breed of flower I love...can't buy just one...have to get one of each colour. Start running, start doing marathons including the New York Marathon, Nov 7th 2010, Perfumes....loved French perfume since I was a kid, have a ridiculous amount of them, god the list goes on but the absolute worst is the vape gear I have. I can honestly say I have enough of a stash to last me the rest of my life, everything, mods, tanks and coils, nicotine and flavours, PG/VG ohhhhh boy. And I live in a country where it's all readily available and legal, how obsessive is that? LOL.

However it's way less harmful than the booze and drugs I used to use, clean and sober since 1999 thank god.:banana::banana:

Some things I am entirely obsessed with - vaping and more recently, embroidery. I’ve got over 20 atties still in boxes. I started using vinyl for embroidery maybe a year ago, and now I have over 140 rolls of it. I follow the person I buy it from and when she posts the new ones, I can’t sleep until I’ve ordered it.

And in other ways, I’m insanely frugal. I have one coat and it’s 10 years old. I’ll wear it till the sleeves fall off. And I got it on clearance, 75% off.

I had so many rubber bands and at one point collected soda cans, which I ended up using to fix bicycle fenders. Lol. And passed expiry date bottled soda. I had a Russian Pepsi from the 70’s at one point. I probably can’t remember half the stuff I collected.

@Territoo I wanted to ask if it was the Catholic kind, but considering your profile pic that’s not even a question.

You got that right! I also make rosaries and chaplets and have made and sold protestant rosaries.

Obsessively accumulating must fill a need for me too. I tend to move from one thing to another -

Bicycles, then convertibles, then bicycles again, then bass guitars, then bicycles again. Vape supplies started between bass guitars and the recent bout of bikes. Only the vape collecting continues a wee bit.;)

Always collected on a budget though - our kids graduated college debt free!

Funny because as much as I blow on the things I covet, I am pretty frugal too. My daughter, who thinks I am rich (and does not understand being comfortable and SAVING money) is always saying 'Mom I cannot believe you are still using the same old (broom, upstairs comforter, tea kettle, etc) from my childhood days. Why don't you buy yourself a new one?" And I, much like my dear departed Mom, answer with "why? this one still works"

eh see with me, I never really had that problem....my body doesn't react to things that way...
I used to be a social smoker and an avid drinker.....then I was a social drinker but an avid smoker...
I tried stuff when I was younger but it didn't really work on me....my body just doesn't process things that way....like I used to get into drinking contests with truckers because I barely weighed 100lbs but I could drink all that I wanted and then maybe 3 hours later I'd feel a little tipsy and that was it...
    painkillers don't work on me...
I've never really had an addiction problem but it's more of a crutch for mental health issues that I especially wasn't dealing with at the time....that and trying to cope with all the abuse back then....
I still use vaping as a placebo for quite a few of my anxieties

@chanelvaps If life has taught me anything about myself it’s that I’m going to need more than 12 steps.
I don't know whether to laugh or agree....
