Good morning shiny ones

Hey folks, sorry for the absence of me posting.

Got a mild/severe case of pneumonia, spent saturday in the hospital just so they could have me in observation.

They let me go home today at noon but I'm still feeling dodgy, the chills, dry cough and the fatigue is the worst part.

I am doing better thou,it is funny thou while i was there and just when i was put in the gown and in bed the doc came to see me.

Gave me the results of the chest x-rays and asked me if i was a smoker, told him i was 2 years off the cigs and now i just vaped.
He smiled and took a innokin Scepter out of his pocket and gave me a thumbs up hehe.

Well anyway,i needed someone to stay at home with my pops, social services as usual was no help whatsoever.
Called the boss lady of Red Cross from where i live and she hooked me up with a volunteer for a full week.
When we went thru the flood last year here where i live we were all moved to a school gym and none of the Red Cross volunteers knew english so i helped them when english speaking people came in,you know it was just my way to help out.

Anyway she always told me that when i needed something i should call her,so i explained everything and she quickly sorted it out.

Volunteer that comes home stays in 2 turns of 4 hours each (they rotate volunteers) and helps to give my pops the meds and cook him his meals.

Pops is ok but i don't want to spread the pneumonia to him so he is staying on the other side of the apartment,i'm just stuck in my room and mostly in bed.

I got my pc in my room so once in a while i get out of bed to check emails and visit you guys and give some likes and loves to your posts.
I also won a couple of giveaways here in ECF so that is pretty cool, think it was a pod system and a sub-ohm tank which is something i was planning in buying soon to give it a try.

Well anyway,no worries folks i am getting better, doc came today and saw i was doing well so he said about 3 or 4 more days of bed rest and i should be well enough to get out of bed.
Fatigue he said along with the cough will take a bit longer to get rid of so i gotta take care of myself.

Sending love and hugs to all my peeps in ECF,you guys take care of yourselves ok?

Cheers

I hope you recover fast and feel better soon mi amigo. Abrazos :)

I guess I don't quite understand what anti-clockwise coils mean. Don't believe I have ever heard of that before.

legs go in opposite direction rather than facing the same way. It depends on the deck your building and how the leg holes are set up.

Good morning shinies

Have a great weekend everyone

Here's a pic of our daily Burmese cat visitor. He goes by the name of Boofulls in our house....he belongs to a neighbour but we think they both work and he gets booted out in the morning (no cat flap) and he's nearly always really thirsty so we think he's on dry food and sometimes doesn't have a chance to drink before he's put out....I want one :)

Funny but true story. My wife's grooming business was located in our veterinarian's building. Our vet is a longtime friend. When our Australian shepherd, Echo, had his balls removed my wife brought them home. That evening when I came home she had homemade spaghetti and meatballs prepared for dinner.

I thought it was very odd that only 2 meatballs were on my plate. My clever wife had them camouflaged with spaghetti sauce. As I was about to grab one my wife stopped me, burst out laughing and then told me those 2 meatballs were our Aussie's balls.  And us being the curious types we dissected one of them just to see all the innards. I did "feel" bad for the dog. :D

Having a friend for our vet does have it's perks. One of them was being allowed in to watch his surgeries. Fun times!
they no longer cut them off. Now they just snip 'em and they deflate over time. My cats has two tiny little furballs there and he is a big strapping 16lb muscle man cat

this is a great explanation and now I know. I knew that I needed some, ordered some, used them and they worked but I wondered how am I going to remember which are which from here on out

This pic is the best way to see it. Some coils can be anti-clockwise and have legs running in the same direction, and some can be clockwise and have opposite legs

Ange you are a gem. How the heck do you keep track of what all we are doing plus yourself? You should be the honorary board chairman of the thread. Honestly

Oh great. So that shot that theory to chit then. Now I am back to wondering how I will ever tell them apart again.

And, they are both 5 wraps. When the coils have legs running in the same direction they are ½ wraps. So if you unwound one of those legs till they both faced the same it would be 4½ wraps.

Perhaps I shouldn't tell you about the times I assisted our vet. Ok, I will share one. I had the honors of snipping the balls (orchiectomy) from one of our GSD's. Again, I felt bad for our dog. Our vet did ask us if we wanted a pair of neuticles for him. We declined. :D

    Neuticles.

As far as entertainment goes  I still want to go skydiving!!! RJ's post the other day only served to drive that desire deeper. We'll see.

ETA: Adding details. The average pair of neuticles costs $310, though some cost a lot more, like the $2,800 watermelon-sized custom set made for an elephant in a zoo. Neuticles are silicone implants for male dogs to replace testicles after neutering.
I can't believe anyone would want to do that.....my what big balls your dog has? Well actually they're just neuticals.....stops other dogs bullying him at the dog training centre :lol:
