Got my YFTK Arise cleaned and running, good build quality, no complaints with this version of it, really like when turn to open juice ports, it closes juice flow, got the 4 hole insert in with chimney reducer, getting really good flavor, is a bit noisy though, but could be down to my wicking, will try wicking tighter next time.

Got on top another Grus I got today also, really iking the Grus too, not often I buy more than 1 of the same mod

Oh man, that was the 60's. Sounds familiar but I don't remember. @Zazie do you remember?

Didn't the UK and SA have party lines too?

I remember my parents weren't so happy with me when I used to pick up the line and made funny noises at the other folks on our party line.
I was a very mischievous kid.
Know nothing about it. Never had a party line, even.

My grandparents had one. Not that anyone in a small town needs to eavesdrop to know everyone else’s business . More than anything it was a convenient way to have a multi house conversation lol.

    Good morning shinies

Did all my diying last night. Recoiled and wicked two Dvarw's. Found an old bottle of Kendos butterscotch custard flavouring so made up the fourth bottle with that. Been trying to find out if it contains diacetyl but it's proving difficult. Anyone know? It's delicious and it was out of date...2019. The other three were fruit, harvest berry ice cream and Tribeca.

Have a great Sunday everyone

Mine did too. It was a morse code system with a rotary dial and their place was numbered 1U. So short short long was their ring. One of the old biddys on the party line was Gene B - she always listened in to my grandparents' calls. Many years later well after she'd moved away and on to a standard land line, my gran could still never share a confidence over the phone. Decades of being evesdropped on made their mark. I miss my grandmother so much

    Morning shinies ;)

I rewicked 3 Axials and 3 Dvarws this morning. On Dvarw no. 4 I started priming the wick with the wrong juice. On auto-pilot, I hit the fire button to fix it. Pulsed it one more time to make sure.... and of course my wick caught fire :D

I amaze myself with my brilliance some days
