That's got to be hard on you and your pops. Have you thought about counseling for him? The holidays can be depressing for some people and with everything that you both are going through he"s probably feeling like giving up. It's been a hard year for all.

Sorry i haven't posted much these past 2 days.
Pops got it in his mind to quit dialysis...had to then get hard on him and go thru all the motions.
Went to see the psychologist at social services,she had to come home and we both confronted him.
If he didn't back out from his decision we would have to declare him legally ''not in his right mind''

Basically saying he couldn't make decisions by himself regarding,well you know himself and i would be appointed,hmm didn't know how it's said in english so i had to google it,thinks it's '' Substituted Consent'' for medical purposes.

Then it would be a hassle,he would refuse to go to dialysis,police would come and help me ''force'' him into the the ambulance yadda yadda...

2 days of this BS has left me mentally broken,finally got him to back down from his choice and he is going back ''voluntarily'' to dialysis on Sunday.

Sorry for bumming out the thread guys,Christmas so far sucked but it is what it is.

Anyway merry Christmas to everyone,hope all of you are healthy and keeping safe and i truly hope that 2021 is a better year for y'all.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I had to be the ‘heavy’ for my MIL through her cancer, my husband, also cancer, and my mom through dementia - Mom was the hardest. It just hurts in ways that are hard to put into words when we’re trying to do what’s best for them and they are fighting us tooth and nail. Sending you hugs, my friend.

IIRC SXK made a DNA 60 version. I would seriously look at replacing the internals with a DNA 60 board and screen.

If you look around you may find the DNA 60 (board + screen) locally or on-sale via online sites.

It's time for taco,soft or hard?would a soft just be a burrito.if some lettuce,tomato and cheese fall out,you can have your salad too.goes to show coffee leads to salad.

I don't have the bugdet for that right now, but I am contemplating upgrade next year.

I also held an original BB recently. The feel is totally different. The original feels so much better to hold, comfortable. It just feels right.

Prefer soft shell myself but usually go for a fajita or chimichanga.

I just googled it and found a post on rdt saying a replacement board and screen for the 70W BB is about $70 so not much different from a new BB clone. Don't give up though @Resistance maybe someone in the sxk BB clone thread can help.

I agree. I've got both and the authentic feels so much smoother and better overall. One thing that really improved my clone was sanding the g10 doors with superfine sandpaper. The aluminum body finish is the main difference though. Much nicer on the original.

I'm contemplating refinishing it also. But that's if I get a screen ( sooner than the chip upgrade.)
If I get the DNA chip I might just powder coat in gunston orange, but I'm thinking to far ahead now.
