Immune system is still bu**ered but I feel much stronger and the cancer is in total remission. Still spending a lot of time at the day hospital making sure it doesn't come back and still signed off work. Off the oxycontin since Monday and feel fine which I'm really pleased about.....just the Xanax to go....@AngeNZ goog news

I do pop in here as often as I can but I have been quite busy, and I’m not spending much money on vape goodies lately - both of my kids have been hit hard financially and I’m trying to help them out.
I had one crappy,like really bad day.
Stupid laws,bureaucracy and other bs is just there to make my life more difficult.
New PSD2 Directive by the EU from September ,i can't use my debit or credit card for online shopping unless i have an app installed on my smartphone.
I can use it thou if the amount is less than 50 euros,no wonder i couldn't place the order for the tablet with Amazon.
Up all night till 2 am trying to resolve it and zero, zip, zilch, nada,so i went to the bank this morning and found out about this.
With purchases below 50 euros (haven't bought anything over that since September so i didn't know of this new directive) i just get a SMS to my cellphone with a code,put the code in to approve the purchase then the purchase is done.
So yeah,8 am and i am at the bank arguing with the manager but since this is a general EU directive every bank has to follow it.
Still not getting a smartphone thou,hate those things with passion...went to my friends vape shop,explained the situation and he said no problem,he placed the order for the tablet,the case and the sd memory and then i paid him in cash.
Don't get me wrong i LOVE technology,got like 3 tech websites bookmarked and i check them like twice everyday but i just don't need a smartphone.
When i got to a concert I'm not that ..... that is holding his smartphone way up high focusing on getting the best recording possible,i am the one ACTUALLY ENJOYING the concert.
I feel no need to share my life and events with people 24/7,don't feel the need to post a picture in instagram of a hamburger like if i were the first person in earth who had discovered that meal.
When i feel the need to talk to people i call them,or i talk to them in person,talking in person is becoming a lost art now it's all about writing ''u'' instead of you and posting a group of emojis that represent a phrase,something like this:
Ok seriously,am i Indiana Jones?
Did i study Egyptian hieroglyphics in the University for 5 years to actually be able to decipher that?
Security? for our benefit? yeah sure,security my hairy Spanish/Canadian tushy.
What if you lose your phone,what if you are an old person who doesn't know how to use one or doesn't want to learn..or how about people like me that like to go old school and refuse to own one.
Sorry,just having a bad day and needed to get it out of my system.
P.S:Nothing against people who own smartphones,you do you and if you like having one cool,i am glad for you.
But i am not one of those persons,and now it seems i can't even use a credit card without owning one.

Wow, that seems really restrictive for a lot of people. I understand the reasonings behind the security, but to basically say everyone needs a smartphone to shop is a bit much.

I guess they think poor people shouldn't be using credit cards. Doesn't work that way though.

Sorry you've had a crappy day but I think you can circumvent that rule by using PayPal. Also after you've paid a few times on some websites they stop sending the redirect for the code sort of because they trust you after a couple of checks. You can choose to have the code sent by email....just my thoughts, trying to help
