These just outside my back door on a rainy Saturday afternoon. I used to know what their name is but I've forgotten. Anybody help?
Some years they are mostly pink with yellow stripes. This year more yellow.

The much maligned blue bottle fly doing her work to polinate.

we call those 4 o’clocks. They self seed like mad here. Not too hard to get rid of, if you want, because they pull right out and don’t grow back from the root.

but it takes 2-3 years because of so many seeds.

really pretty, take over a space with so much color. I have an envelope of saved seeds I, should scatter them this spring.

Squid has declared my dead Detonator beyond repair. "Severe water damage," I was told, which is utterly mystifying since it was never near water when I had it and worked just fine for two weeks before conking.

I was offered a new one for the wholesale price but declined, since I just bought three others. No mention of a charge for evaluating the problem, and I hope there isn't--between purchase price and postage, it's already cost me twice what one of the three I just got sold for.

Thanks guys. Love the name Four o'clocks! Yes they self seed vigorously here too. I pull the plants out every year when they stop flowering and get spindly, knowing they'll be back. That particular bed alternates between two self-seeders; Nasturtiums and Four o'clocks

I had a similar issue years ago with a Double Barrel II.
Just died after a week.
The tech at the big online vape store where I bought it emailed me advising me not to get another squid product with my store credit- said their electronics were junk.

No, the customer service is fine: I bought the Detonator secondhand and it was no longer under warranty.

If the package got wet in transit, there's still no explanation for why it died on me in the first place after working perfectly for two weeks. @ShowMeTwice took a look at it for me, and he couldn't tell what was wrong, although he did say there was no sign of juice in the innards.
