I'm sure that is disappointing. I know how much a lot of you folks like your Mixx mods.
I took it apart today and found some wetness around the screen. I haven't taken the whole chip cage out yet because I know what a ..... the fire buttons are going to be to get back in. I'm going to leave it open to let it dry and see how it is....I think there's been some juice ingression via the cage holes after a couple of bad wicking mistakes.

More news later....:D

Fingers crossed that it starts working again.

Thanks.... we'll see. If it doesn't I'll take the chip cage out and see if there's any crystalised juice on it.....always the problem with sucralose :)

I've run all my Mixxes in stealth mode, ever since I did @Pigs experiment, for no reason other than battery. If you get it going, at least in stealth mode you don't have to see your dotty screen.

I did this closeup of the chip for someone in the Side by side thread, if you want to see what is where:

Charlie you probably know this but a good clean of the board and contacts with isopropyl alcohol should do the trick assuming no short has blown a component. If you have some deoxit I would apply that too but it's not essential.

Morning all! They’re calling for 8-12” of snow today/tomorrow so I need to put myself together and get to the store before it sets in. I need bread and meat, otherwise I’m pretty set. Oh, snacks too. Gotta have snacks. I need to find someone to plow because there’s no way I’ll be able to shovel that much.
I wonder if I can find Storm of the Century streaming anywhere? I love to watch that during a snowstorm.
Ah, yes, the series that seems to think Mainers always address each other by first and last names.

People, I have a huge problem. There’s ICE ICE ICE falling from the sky!!!! Ice, as in rain that should NOT be frozen. And should NOT be in New Orleans . At least we still have electricity. Parts of Baton Rouge ( hour west) have already lost power.

Meanwhile, last night the forecast was calling for "rolling thunderstorms" here for tomorrow. (That's since been revised to "rain and snow.")

The wet weather has disappeared, leaving just brrrrr cold weather. Low of 24 tonight.
Poor weather people, all that fussing for nothing. They were all so excited to have a “weather event” to track.
Not much worry, unless you have a raised house and have bursting pipes from freezing. They’re still announcing closures for tomorrow, which is stupid. It’s Mardi Gras day (holiday here)... most everything is normally closed then anyway. By Wednesday we’ll be back in the mid 60’s.

I hope all pipes and plants survive.

Thanks Ange.....it's all there when you take the bottom off....just two screws holding the screen on and two up at the 510 and should be able to slide the plastic cage out. I'm hoping bit won't be necessary though.
    Ever the optimist.
    Stay dry :)

We’re ona slab, but most of the historic houses are raised. Pipes and ducts run under in the crawl space. Plants I do worry about. I can plant more veggies, but the citrus is definitely not cold hardy. Hopefully the absence of wet will help a little.

@charlie1465 , I hope you can revive the Mixx. I brought a mod back once using qd electronic cleaner.
