Thanks really for the kind words AngeNZ :)

Yeh i think i will stick to the Destiny for now, just gotta decide on the color scheme for the Grus/Atty and i am set.

The Juggerknot MR does look sick, that one is most definitely going in my wish list.

Apart from the obvious effects we see everyday the corona virus has really cut in my monthly income, use to have like 20 translating jobs a month (ballpark figure),mostly to notaries,doc/lawyer appointments and the occasional helping brits with the real estate office they were dealing with.
But now with this i had to turn down a lot of work, not much in the lawyer/notary department going on these days anyway but a lot of calls for help translating in doc appointments i had to turn down.

If it were just me i think i would be ok but having my pops in a already delicate position it wouldn't be smart for me to spend hours and hours in hospital waiting rooms, that is just to much of a risk.

Well anyway already the 16th so about 10 days more and i'll get my vaping order done, always enjoy the excitement of getting a package delivered hehe, gotta take confort in the little things don't you?

2:30 am here and i just finished some translating for a local hardware shop, they needed some translating to get all their website info in English.
Not a handyman myself so i had to google some of the more technical terms, that is not really my area of expertise.
But it's all done and reviewed it 3 times to make sure it's all ok,just sent it to them and i am off to catch some ZZZzzz's.

Talk to you tomorrow folks, have a good one :thumb:

That’s a tough position to be in with your work and worrying about your dad. Hopefully as more people get vaccinated maybe including you and your dad, things will turn around for you.

I’m sorry the “chefing” didn’t work out. It sucks to have to pick between doing something you love, and supporting your family. Are you still thinking about leaving LV.
Over the years I have lost a lot of the love I once had for the industry. I never really had a good quality of life. Either I made good money and worked all the time or I had a job I liked and didn't make enough money. Uber gives me the money and time to work on side projects and hopefully turn one into a business which had always been the main goal.
Edit: I am still thinking about relocating. It looks like it may be back to Boulder City though. Still close to all my family here but much smaller. Pop. 15,000

My SIL left it for the same reasons. He’s still loving teaching culinary in the high school votech department. They live in a small city, much better lifestyle than here. His kids did a lunch fundraiser (they won State and got to go to Epcot to rep Tenn). It was such a hit, they do it every Friday now. Sells out every week. It lets them push their creativity in meal planning.

What does SG mean?

EDIT Oh sorry! you mean is that a Gibson SG? No it's a Gibson 335 copy. Made by a local Luthier here
Beautiful! The color looks dead on.
I’m sorry... everyone else saw stormtrooper, and I was fixated on the guitar lol.

I didn't plan to put it in the shot - I was in a rush to reply to Red's Mixx/Galactic empire post.
I found that guitar in a council cleanup (hard trash) collection in my street. It was wreck. No electronics, the neck was twisted etc etc. I brought it home as a dressup prop for my then 9 yo son.
Just last year I got an offer from a very well known Australian Luthier and repairer of electric guitars to fix it up for me at cost price.
This guy only works on top of the range vintage Fenders, Gretschs, Rickys and Gibbos (when he's not building his own) but he agreed to do this as a favour, knowing it was a Xmas gift for my now 15yo boy. Was so lucky.
He did an incredible job. I'm helping one of his son's out now with work experience as a trade.

You hit the jackpot. I’m looking with my screen light turned all the way down so I can’t see well...what pickups did you put on it?

There are two humbuckers in it. One was from an early 80s Ibanez Artist AR 300 - a really good quality Japanese copy of a Les Paul but with 2 cuttaways. I changed it's stock pickups many years ago and managed to keep one of the original ones.
The other pickup was just an unknown humbucker (again found in council cleanup) that turned out to be fine.
It was a lottery if they were going to be wired to work right together but again the gods were smiling and they did.

I think I’d like to come dig next time you have a council cleanup lol. People around here don’t toss anything worth picking up.

Seriously Mel. My place is full of great stuff people have thrown out. Don't want to stretch the topic out too much here but if you're interested I'll pm you a list with some photos.

My family was always in the restaurant business.
From way back in the 80's when they had a restaurant in Winnipeg to the last one we had in White Rock BC in the late 90's.
To be honest i never liked it,early morning gotta get ready for kitchen prep and late nights leaving the kitchen clean after closing up...i did all that while going to highschool, yeah it sucked.
Could be that or it could be that i never had a good ''working'' relationship with my pops *shrug* i did learn to cook thanks to him and i do love to cook.

Although i gotta say the idea of a Food Truck intrigues me,small but diverse menu and you go travel around a lot,if things were different maybe i would give that a try.

True definition of awesome!! :thumb::thumb:

We miss you Carrie Fisher. You were awesome.

Yes we do,i love her attitude and demeanor in interviews and interactions with her fans, interview with Craig Ferguson was hilarious and that time i think in 2015 where she kissed and i mean really kissed a fan.

You are missed Carrie.
