I buy backups of mods i really like, for when one dies etc....
However what has bit me several times is i find something i like better and the early multiples collect dust.
Happened with my pocket carry aio's. Liked the rpm series from smok, bought several. Then found the ursa quest and havent touched the rpm's since lol. I did pif one though......

Not to mention the probably 30 squonks i bought before i found the topsides. Those are staying for my "collection", and for the day i have no more topsides.

I tend to buy one, love it, buy 5-10 more. Then find another thing to buy... my trouble is, I have been lucky enough to love almost everything I’ve bought.

I have way too much gear, really. Someone will post a shot of a mod I have and I’ll think, why don’t I use it more? Then I’ll remember I’ve bought ten great mods since that one. I can’t have ALL the great ones in rotation! Lol

    Somewhere between here and there
Months before I started vaping, my doctor said (not for the first time, mind, this was an ongoing conversation) that my lungs ought to get checked, sounded like early emphysema.

my next check up was one year later, a few months after I had fully quit smoking and was a full time vaper. Also, this was just after he had diagnosed my husband’s cancer, so he was particularly cautious with me. And he said my lungs sounded great.
Now prior to this appointment, I had told him about quitting and vaping and he said he wasn’t too keen on the vaping, but if it got me off the smokes, he wouldn’t admonish me. He called it cautious optimism. But after her heard the difference for himself, he was open to learning the pros and cons.
I can’t confirm if he’s had the chance to do his own research on it, but I’d be surprised if he hasn’t.

I did not notice any shortness of breath or other symptoms- except morning coughing - prior to quitting, but my heartburn/acid reflux is much better, my Reynauds is just about in remission, and the cough is mostly gone.

    purely anecdotal I know.

My doctor was never crazy about the idea of me vaping but didn't badger me about it when I saw him which wasn't very often after I started vaping. I just don't get sick with colds and stuff like I used to when I smoked. He had to see the difference in my lung function compared to when I was smoking but I think he just didn't want to endorse vaping. My hygienist at my dentist office left and I got a new one so I mentioned to my new one that I quit smoking and am vaping and she asked if I was interested in quitting. I said no. I'm sure she was going to offer to have the dentist write me a prescription for something. I honestly don't see myself ever quitting vaping.

I was lucky in that my doctor actually recommended vaping. She didn't say anything unasked, but when I asked her about vaping she was 100% positive - even told me not to believe the lies against it...

She was very well informed on the topic, if she hadn't been it's likely I never would have started. But she was and I'm absolutely grateful for that. So far all my doctors have been very positive, even the specialists...

it's not waterproof as it states, there's no cover on the charging port, juice leaks into the door and batteries, however the board is enclosed in it's own area so I don't think anything's going to get into it unless it goes through the charging port.
This is a bit deceiving, as I've actually researched into this for a few different mods for clarification. The Gaur-21 amongst other mods advertises the PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly - the chip) as enclosed and waterproof, but not the entire mod. It's to endorse the ease of cleaning it out w/out damaging any of the circuitry. I'll just have to hope that the day I drop my mod into a puddle, is the day I chose to carry around one of my GeekVapes or FORZ. I suppose the loss of a few batteries is a damn sight better than losing the entire mod. Still a boner in my book. (Freudian Slip )

Totally agree....saved my life too. I guess the jury's still out on whether vaping makes emphysema progress it certainly doesn't feel that way. My lungs have never felt clearer especially after losing a lot of weight because of the cancer. My breathing is so much better because my lungs have room to expand properly without all that extra belly fat and I'm going to keep it that way.
Stopping smoking completely can stop emphysema progression but obviously can't repair the damage already caused....it doesn't seem like vaping is making mine worse that's for sure....each test has been better than the last
I smoked cigs all through my time in the military. When that 2 mile run would come about every 6 months, I'd have to "train" for it a few weeks in advance. Even then, I'd nearly pass out when I crossed the finish line. I got out of the Army in 2011, started vaping in 2015, and have since never ran to any distance further than to warm up. Certainly not more than a mile, and very rarely. A few months ago I decided to go for a run. I ran 2 miles like it was nothing. It was certainly something after the fact (my legs felt like complete rubber), but in terms of lung capacity - it's the best I've felt after a decent run like that in probably 20 years.

I'm thoroughly convinced it's a better option over cigs. In regards to chronic illnesses, that part I cannot add to.

Mines far better than it was... far far better. It's been going a bit downhill again without being able to exercise, but even so it's still better than it was... Once I can re-incorporate exercise I'm sure it'll get a bit better again, rely on inhalers a little less.

I don't think vaping aids in progression, in my experience anyway. But then, I was in such bad shape when I began who knows? Lol...

It has certainly bought me years at any rate.
I can't wait to get back into the gym. /cry

That is very true. I noticed it even before I started doing reviews but doing them has very much enforced the fact that different mod, tank, and coil combinations can make the same liquid taste totally different.

Back in the day, I used to drip on lr302's and 801 attys and would shot gun them with no tip. There wasn't much available when I started so you had to do whatever you could to get a satisfying vape.

The new Legend 2 I'm testing for a review is quite a bit lighter than the original and it doesn't have the rubber on the body like other aegis mods so dirt and dust doesn't stick to it.
Ah yes, I forgot about the coils. I have yet to dip my feet fully into that. Between the various wire/clapton configs I have yet to distinguish the differences, but I definitely see a difference with mesh coils.

You must be young. I got out of the Army in 1992 after the Gulf War. I continued to smoke only until 2009 and started to transition to vaping. It wasn't an instant switch for me and struggled for many years but stuck with it until I got to where I am today. I'm 50 and still try to run and do a little weight lifting at least a couple times a week. I fell off the exercise wagon for the most part over the winter but am trying hard now to get back into a routine.

11 years behind you. Some might say that's still young, but I certainly don't feel that way anymore, lol. Young for me was when I could nearly pull an all-nighter, pass out upside down in a bathtub for 2 hours, wake up and rush off for a full day of work w/out a hitch. That has long passed. Now, simply sleeping on my neck wrong hurts for like a week+. I think I want to cut the cord when I'm around 50, lol.

That sounds like a negative mindset to me. ;)

Mine too.... they're either dismissive of the issue with a wave of the hand and a smile or they make no comments. I've never had a negative reaction.

There's also this natural urge for me to find the "perfect gem". Like the Topside Dual I have is absolutely wonderful, but I paid a pretty penny for it - I'd expect nothing less. It's like buying a Ferrari and being like yep, this is nice. Of course it is, lol. The search for the perfect gem (or something close) is finding something that's competitively priced and is worth its weight in gold. Let the search continue!

Not necessarily....if you had very early emphysema and quitting smoking was quickly afterwards then you've probably stopped it from getting worse... It maybe slightly anecdotal but one thing's for sure is that vaping makes your lungs feel clearer!!!

Get either a Billet box, a Delro or an Abyss....not forgetting the new Boxx. Not cheap but given the number of different coils and RBA's you can use in all four well worth the money.....just my two pennies worth :)
