Ok, so that’s the fence I’m going to have to clear to escape the horde. Got it. I guess I’m going to be more consistent with leg days at the gym from now on.

Beautiful AND eerie! I swear I can see the zombie horde coming from the far off dark treeline! But maybe I shouldn't binge watch all those Korean zombie movies on Netflix. Hmmm... correlation detected.![]()
007-373-5963What?!? What’s this secret code?!?
We shall dub it, stumpypus.I'm glad I'm not the only but who thought thatI called it Stumpy, cuz he's short
So the offset coils improve flavor?
And allows longer coils/more wraps without have to bend the legs in towards the posts too much.Just easy to place them that way I think... all my coils are slightly offset... just kind of a natural position when building - for me anyway..
No way Jose! (I photoshopped that)Here's @Pigs's build, cuz his coils are more impressive than mine![]()

I try not to think about the peak but I agree really....I tell myself it's fine though. I do think that SS diffuses the heat better on the DL...I get less accumulation on the top cap!!I think it's the dual hole AF (whichever size insert you choose) under the coil in the FL versus the single hole AF insert in the DL which makes the air smoother in the DL.
I also like the non- fixed chamber position in the DL so I can tweak my coil position how I like it in relation to the posts. That way the coil can be as offset - or not - as you want. I also prefer SS parts to PEAK parts in principle. Metal over plastic any day for me.
Post not quite tightened down properly or more like where the coil is compressed unevenly in the top leg on your pic.First vertical coil! Quick question though before I wick this. The coil is a tri-core fused clapton. After cutting about a cm from each leg and positioning like so in the photo, my mod is reading it at 0.08. When fired, it jumps up to 0.21-0.22 ohms. Why is it doing this, and is it safe?
Nix the question, apparently the Aegis Legend hadn't figured out it was a new coil. It's all good in the hood.
For me I try not to put anything too long in the DL or the FL....it's the OCD...I always straighten them out. For me the proximity to the posts are a no no for coil and cotton longevity from heat!!And allows longer coils/more wraps without have to bend the legs in towards the posts too much.
Pretty....What a pain in the ..., but it's finally done.

Might need to rewick with more cotton though. For tonight, this'll have to do.
