A question about balance chargers for lipos -

I'm not down with the flow too much with balance chargers but I do know that they are used for when a cell from a multi cell lipo loses balance and drops voltage compared to the others, like my 4S mod
this is a pic from EScribe, see cell 2 is lower than the other 3. A balance charge will bring this cell back up to 4.2v, the same as the rest.It's also good practice to charge lipo batteries with a balance charger if convenient to keep them on track.

@ShamrockPat do you know anything about the Delro clone lipo? SXK rate it at 2200mAh but I'm not sure if that's accurate. I know the authentic Delro has a 1800mAh lipo

I have some of all resistance of the gtx coils but like mostly .6 and lower. I really like the .2 in the px80. Only thing I didn’t like about he pm80 you got was lack of airflow control besides the little rubber plugs you can put in the airflow holes. The new gtx go 40 and 80 use the gtx coils as well as the new luxe 80 and those three are top fill pod tanks.
I honestly think you will be hunky dory with your Delro Mate
A lot of the reason for a cell losing balance is lack of use, you won't have any problem with that!! I'm not a big vaper so my lipo's don't get used as much as they should so I'm going to drop a cell every now and then

Hmmm, that's a toughie. Daniel Forsyth mod comes with a high end balance charger built in, which would have balanced his battery eventually. My 4S Lipo which I use daily has never gone out of balance. My 3S Lipo has, and it has taken, say 24 hours plugged in to rebalance, albeit slowly. All 2xx series boards have a balance charger built in and they're serial boards. The 75's just have an integrated charger, because they're parallel boards. A series board can show individual cell voltages. A parallel board, no matter if it's 1 cell or 10, only presents 4.2v to the board on the input side. The board has no clue how many cells there are. Now the 60 board does not even have USB port at all, but it is also a parallel board, which you can get an external charger board for. I have no clue for the original or the clone specs for the Lipo or the charger board itself other than the posted mAh. I offered to help 'JG' with his settings for his, but he thought he knew best. .... he didn't.
But there's more than one way to skin a cat. I have known people that have removed the outer wrap of a 3S Lipo, and then rewired the 3 internal cells in a parallel fashion for use in their mods. So your's if it is 2 cells will be like that. It'll just show 4.2v

Not sure but I think that uses the smaller ub coils instead of the pro coils.
