Thanks for that mate. Yeah i've been thinking of trimming a bit longer. Also the ropes are rather deep into the holes...they're recessed by about a mm. Been thinking of lifting them out some. I'll do that with the next rewickI trim my wick a little bit longer on my Brunhilde MTL than you do Mate, I trim at around the bottom o-ring on the deck.
I'm not sure if you're a fluffer or not, I most definitely fluff with the best of em' and have always found it helps with wickingIt also helps to have the SS rods poking up about 1mm above the deck so they can make really good contact with the cotton. View attachment 956143 View attachment 956145
A nice plump wick is a happy wick on BrunhildeView attachment 956147

Welcome to the Brunhilde Brigade

Came across this when I was searching the thread trying to find out when I first started talking about the Brunhilde. Did you ever ask your mother about this, Ange?Hey, @AngeNZ, a nonshiny-related question for you on behalf of my venerable mother: Have you heard of a gardener named Olive who used to live on the South Island (she's almost certainly dead now)? She was featured on an episode of The Victory Garden (a gardening show produced by WGBH, Boston's public television station) back in the late eighties/early nineties. She had a beautiful flower garden and made the prettiest little bouquets you've ever seen. My mother had the episode on videotape but now has no machine to play it on, and knowing Olive's full name might make it easier for her to find a digital version. Besides, she'd just like to know the name of this gardener whose work she admires so.
I realize it would be something of a miracle if you know whom I'm talking about, but my mother asked me to ask you (she knows of you because I've sent her pictures of Luna and Abby [for whom she much grieved]), and I must obey.
Yeah, I’m getting one too.
Holding out. Not budging. No winged-helmets on my mods. ever. nup
I’m hoping so. I’ve never liked big tanks so it will be a first if I do.I was told that

I'm sure you will like it. I don't like big tanks either. The MTL isn't that big really. I do have a few issues (mostly aesthetically) with the Brunhilde, but the flavor it makes, makes up for it....mostlyI’m hoping so. I’ve never liked big tanks so it will be a first if I do.
I can’t say that I’ve ever let the looks of a tank bother me. How it works is more important.I'm sure you will like it. I don't like big tanks either. The MTL isn't that big really. That's alright Mate, you don't need to get yourself the Brunhilde SBS mod
