I didn't know that. How did you learn so much about spiders?

Ok, thanks. I'll put a new wick in it this weekend. I'll have to try to find a wider tip that I like. I really like the looks of the tip that came with it with the metal fins.
I've never had a liquid problem on any of my rdtas but have on some of my rda's and the early ego's :D

Wide bore drip tip is definitely the way to go. Stick a Dvarw tip on it.....I'll bet it'll solve the problem. Also, just a thought....leaving it to sit too long if you've got multiple setup's going may oversaturate the wick so that it drips into the air intake. Can't be of more help as mine isn't here yet :)

Hey what's Himself listening to?
Maybe Jump. dah dah dah....dah dah daaaa dup dah da dup dahhh!!
One of those goofy guided tours. He absolutely loves those. Man was born a Pawpaw
I have poor depth perception. When I look down from something that high, I get this weird freefall feeling that I don’t like. It looks like the depth is undulating. Closer things like stairs, or throwing something to me, what I see doesn’t match up to where it really is. Cost me a promising basketball career (not):lol:

That very well may be it. I usually have 10-15 setups going and they can sit better part of a day without use sometimes. I can't carry all of them to work with me.

Yes maybe take the top off and fire the mod the appropriate number of times to dry the wick out a bit then see if it solves the problem.

When I came and visit you, can you promise to take me up there please?
Absolutely. Chicago is just down the road from me. O'hare is the airport you would be flying into so I can meet you at the international terminal.

As you did say there though Ange has wire on the braino_O
    I knew it Mate!

@AngeNZ is wired, fused claptons, staples, 8 core aliens...

My Haku Venna from Australia was delivered today. Last night when I checked DHL tracking it still said Monday delivery. It shipped on the 22nd. Package was labeled "Craft Metal Parts" and it was shipped from a personal address.

For now she resides on one of my dotSquonk's. The airflow is more open than the SXK clone and the machining is night and day. I installed a 26/36 316L clapton 0.45Ω coil and Mavaton's wick. It's a very nice restricted DL. Ms Venna brings the flavor and then some. I am very happy. :)

I didn't really care for how the review sample and replacement Arez were packaged from Hellvape. They have their own tape made so there was the Hellvape name all over the outside of the packages on the tape they used to seal the boxes.

    Morning shinies ;)

Inside my lab is me being my usual klutz!

    Thanks Dan.

Speaking of wire - I need some advice.
Been using this Ni80 fused clapton wire in my boro rdas and my Dvarws for a while:

    $4.20 Authentic Ni80 Heating Wire - 28*2/36 AWG / 0.32mm*2/0.12mm dia. / 2.6ohm/ft / 10ft at FastTech - Free Shipping

I want to lower the resistance a notch so that a 5 wrap 2.5mm ID Ni80 fused clapton would be closer to 0.35 or 0.4 Ohms (currently closer to 0.55Ohms). Can you recommend a spool for me? I like Ni80 for the fast ramp up time but wouldn't mind getting some SS fused clapton or alien wire as an option.

Any suggestions? Has to be from a Chinese or Aus/NZ vendor.
I know @AngeNZ has a good bead on different wire types.

It's hard figuring out the actual resistance using Steam Engine, so these are all guestimates.

Switching straight to a 316L 28*2/38 will get you in the 0.3-0.4ohm range
    $3.75 Authentic 316L Stainless Steel Heating Wire - 2*28/38 AWG / 2*0.32mm/0.1mm dia. / 1.61ohm/ft / 10ft at FastTech - Free Shipping

If you want a tri-core instead of a dual core, you can stick with ni80 as Charlie's Geekvape wire has the same resistance as the above ss316L:
Geekvape Nichrome N80 Clapton Wire Reel

In terms of heat, the ni80 tri-core is cooler than the ss316L dual-core. And it has slightly more surface area than the 316L. But your original ni80 dual-core is warmer than both of them, and has slightly more surface area - due to that 36g wrap.

Ok Brunhilde brigade, I have a question. On my MTL I’m running the airflow open for an Rdl but if I chain vape a little then I’m getting liquid up through the tip into my mouth. Is there a problem with my wicking or coil placement?

I haven't had that problem at all with my Brunhilde's Mate so unfortunately I can't give you a definite answer.
I would be very surprised if it's a wicking issue, the Brunhilde MTL RTA is very forgiving with how you wick her. And I place my coil about 1mm above the airflow hole.
Hopefully you get it sorted out:thumb:

@Pigs I've had a good think about your wire situation and all I can say is Help @AngeNZ :w00t::w00t:

@Pigs this wire will get you in the ballpark you're wanting

I used to experiment a lot with different types and gauges of wires but have been a bit lazy for the last year or so. This will get me experimenting again.

I didn't know that. How did you learn so much about spiders?
I'm kind of surrounded by them in Sydney. Both my kids are serious arachnophobes but spiders fascinate me so I've learned about them though observing and reading. One of my most-read books is this one:
