The last storm that went through here was an amazing light show, constant multiple strikes for over an hour. It was so good I turned the tv off and got out of bed to watch. Like a horror movie lol.
Do you live in Collinsport?

(Sorry--still watching Dark Shadows.)

Not much to report here except we escaped the worst of the thunderstorms yesterday but the lightning bolts were impressive. In fact I've never seen lightning bolts with that breadth:shock:

Funny. We had a very similar thunderstorm here last night--lighting bolts and very loud thunder and hail and crazy wind gusts. Very unusual for SoCal.

Hello, Shinies!

Aren't hybrids the best?

I love mine. But I don't drive very far nowadays. And try to avoid freeways. The 18-wheelers scare the daylights out of me. DH and DDs (who drive a lot) drive small sporty SUVs.

I would love to feel safe driving a smaller more efficient car, but everyone else is going to have to drive them before I do.

I hear you. When the kids were little, I drove mommy mini vans. The best and safest thing when you're transporting kids, kids' friends (and their gear), groceries, and a dog or two.

My idea of a big busy road is 4 lanes total, including left and right. I live on a one way gravel road, and have no problem swerving to avoid an 18 wheeler. But having to navigate on a busy 6+ lane road in a city? That scares me

Right. Most of our freeways are 6+ lanes (each way) and if you're in a tiny Prius, those big-truck drivers really can't even see you in their mirrors.

I am already miffed because my electric company keeps sending me late payment emails. I pay $3 extra to pay online, and for the third month in a row, they’ve done this. I always have to check my CC to make sure the payment was sent.

Have you tried setting up automatic utility payments via your bank? All my bills (including cc) are on auto pilot. I check my statements, of course, but I never have a late bill fears anymore.

    Fantastic!!
I'm assuming that you're rather enjoying the first Brunhilde if you are getting another:)

Daniel, a question--in case my Brunhilde ever gets here, which I'm beginning to doubt. There's been some discussion on another thread about placement of Brunhilde's wicking rods. You (and most reviewers I watched) recommend that the rods stick out/up a bit (1.5m or so) for optimal wicking. But our @FranC just reported that hers just fall into the well and can't be raised at all. Any thoughts?

Have the SS rods raised up about 1mm, you get the best wicking this way.
Twist the rods around a bit if they slip down too much. You will still get a very good wicking with the rods even if they are all the way down and not raised, don't be too fussy:)

It's coming up towards the very end of the year so I need to think about starting to organise a Very Special Birthday present for someone....Me:w00t:
With this one I'm going to need some help, I have too much Good Wood on the brain right now:lol: So I figured that my lovely Shiny Friends can make a choice for me on a new Custom Mod:wub:
Everyone!! I very much would like to know which beautiful Good Wood mod I should get myself:thumb:
A few to choose from!! There is three 3S size, same as my small ones. image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg :)
And there is a new stabwood mod that has just been released, the DNA 75C single 21700. A bit smaller again than the 3s. There is 5 of those to choose from! image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

    Hello, Shinies!
And that storm of yours delayed the Chargers game last night.
