How big across is he?
I just measured that patch of wall. From the join to the edge it's 4 1/2 inches so his leg span from side to side is about 4 inches.

Looks like maybe a subspecies of the Huntsman's perhaps.....or a genetic differentiation??

I really thought it wasn't a huntsman for these reasons:
Its carapace isn't flat like most hunstman and all the specimens I've caught or seen have spinnerets that stick out more than a huntsman. I didn't think the pedipalps looked right and this guy hunts stationary for hours at a time. Most Huntsman I've watched move around a lot.

It also didn't look quite like the huntsman species in my spider book then I found this photo today online. Dead ringer.

The Brown Huntsman Spider
Heteropoda jugulans

Mystery solved but I'm kind of disappointed. I've spent hours researching this and I'd hoped for something more interesting. Oh well.

Glad you solved the mystery. Your heteropoda jugulans is a pretty cool looking spider.

I much prefer heteropoda jugulans over brown Huntsman spider. :D

Hiya Shinies :)

Well i just finished the review for the Kriemhild II:

Vapefly Kriemhild II 2 Sub Ohm Tank - Review by Javichu

In a month or so i will be getting a GeekVape S100 Aegis Solo 2 Kit with Z Subohm tank and Vapefly Brunhilde SBS 100W Mod,last one will be extra cool since it will match my Kriemhild II hehe

The Kriemhild is a nice solid tank,i am liking it....although i have had this idea lingering in my mind for awhile.

Just seems that drop in coils atomizers cater to only MTL users or just pure sub-ohm cloude chasers, had some trouble finding something i really enjoyed that is kinda like in the middle of those two.

I don't MTL but i don't want to use 70 watts either,i don't use nic salts nor i want a big cloud.
For everyday use my coils in my RTA are usually 020'ish ohms and i dabble between 26 watts to 30 watts depending mostly on the atty i am using.

Seems that drop in coil tanks don't really have anything for my vaping ''bracket'',they either MTL or just coils that require very high wattage.

Well anyway not much to tell, slow weekend and pops in ''depressed'' mode so i have just been home chilling and watching some movies.

Hope y'all healthy and keeping safe :)

My normal range is close to yours so it was a bit of an adjustment reviewing the subtanks with high wattage coils. First thing I did was to stop trying to run my regular 12mg liquid in them and mixed some 3mg for reviews. I’ve found that many of those high wattage coils will run ok at lower than recommended settings. That being said, some coils I’ve run into will leak when run too low.

Last night's 3am visitor. First big spider of the season. I'm still trying to identify this species - last summer you guys may remember I had the same questions. Doesn't fit the description of any hunstman species and probably isn't from the wolf spider family. More emails to the museum and hopefully I'll get something concrete soon.

I managed to catch him and get him outside in one piece but he'll probably be back tonight.

I'm checking out this thread because it seems like a place to talk about anything that doesn't fit in the other topics. Is that about right?

Do I need to start with "My name is Ed and I have shinyitis."

Don't forget to stand up and look nervous ;)

Nic wise i pretty much remained stable at 3mg or sometimes even 4,5mg but never any higher.
When i started vaping i started with 6mg but once i got my first rebuildable i cut down to 3mg.

When i reviewed the Zlide i did give nic salts a chance but meh, just wasn't for me.

And yeah i hear you about the adjustment when using high wattage coils,i do try at least a couple of puffs at the max wattage recommended but i always end up going lower.

Coil i am using at the moment on the Kriemhild II is (45-60W) and i got it at 36 watts, even at 40 it just feels to warm for my taste.

On some tanks I’m good up to 45-50 watts but that’s not something I do all the time.

    Morning shinies ;)

Nice. Here in NZ the people freak when a spider are around. In South Africa we were so used to them on the ceilings and walls...we left them to do their work and control the mozzies, moths etc during the warm months.

I'm in the girly blouse scared of spiders group!

aka HUGE enough to be given a name as a pet

I haven't tried many drop-in coils, but out of what I have tried:
Some of the Geekvape's B series coils give good flavour below the 40w range - Zeus Nano tank uses them. Anything that uses Vaporesso GTX 0.6 or 0.3ohm coils - mainly pods tho.

Hi all, hope all are well.
Checking in and im not gonna try to catch up lol.
    Been busy.
My 11 year old has bronchitis, and the school freaked because he was coughing. Grrr.
Negative covid test and kept him home this week on his antibiotics. He will be going back tomorrow.

On the shiny front i did order a couple things from element with the little sale they have going on.
Ordered the sbs and glass set for my abyss, and an eclipse rta to try out.

With the looming mail ban figured id order a couple things. Not only that but xmas is coming fast so no more goodies for me so ill have money for others.

    Later yall

I do really like the Gtx coils quite a bit and like the .2 ohm ones at 45 watts. I built up a pretty good stockpile of them and the GT coils for when either I can’t or don’t want to build. I went through a phase where i was using probably about 50% drop in coils. Not very much any more except review tanks.

Anybody used a company called CigaBuy yet? Looks like they're based in Hong Kong.
They've got some cool prices on Asmodus mods, and i'm looking for one.

I used them a long time ago. Back then the shipping was really slow but I always got my orders. I’m not sure how they are now.

What sort of Asmodus mod are you looking at Mate?
I think I know someone who has a few of those:?:
