A mess is the sign of an organized mind. Mine has always been like that but has gotten better. Picked up one of these cheap kits at my b&m that works well. Doesn't take up much space. Added some regular pointy tweezers and gtg.

Yeah I don't wanna post a pic of mine lol. I picked up a cheap metal cig clamshell box to stop mushing my cotton lol. Other than that there's alot of bottles, backup mods and rda's. Oh and coils for an emergency lol.

Good morning shiners! I'm off to pretend I'll get caught up on this thread. I'm starting to get a little antsy with nothing to obsessively track on the USPS website. I might have to give in and get something just so I can have a tracking number to keep me occupied for a few days.

I keep cotton, wire, batteries, and a couple RDAs on the opposite sided the bag. I keep my mods out when I am out, so, don’t really have a back up that stays in the bag.

I’m the opposite been tracking an order from Slowtech since February 2nd gonna loose my S$*& shortly sure glad I upgraded my shipping  Have another order with 3f one item is a preorder and I know how that goes just bumped ahead another 15 days. On the bright side got my Rayon and a replacement juice order after the first one got seized by customs. So all And all I guess I can’t complain. Definitely prefer the Rayon glad I made the switch.

I have a small cylinder for a keyring (maybe 3x1.5) that's in my bag. I wind coils and keep them in it for emergencies so I don't carry wire.

I have some coils jars, but I am horrible about keeping premade coils alive! LOL

:glug:So Shinys. I need some help please. I feel comfortable enough here to ask with no fear or being yelled at or called all sorts of a fool. (But you can go ahead anyway...I have very thick skin :))

I would like to get in to rebuildable tanks but have absolutely NO idea where to start. Google is just doing my head in and I don't even understand all the acronyms well enough to know what to look for.

I MTL at about 9-10w with 18mg 50/50 liquid. I don't want to actually MAKE a coil because I have seen pre-made coils that I believe I would be able to manage...maybe. If I got these sort of coils do I still have to have an ohms meter/reader thing?

From my limited knowledge, I think I need to get a tank, fit a pre-made coil and poke some stuff in it for a wick. Right? Or not?

Any thoughts on a suitable tank, coils and wicking stuff would be greatly appreciated.

2 that I would recommend that I use on a daily basis that are simple builds with good flavour are the Zeus and the OBS engine nano. I use pre made coils for the most part. Have had good luck with both for not leaking due to the simplicity of wicking and rebuilding. I generally run around the 20w range and and although my juice varies most is 50/50. Just my opinion.

You would probably be better off with a basic dripper, especially if you're around the house. Drippers are much more forgiving of rookie wicking jobs because you don't have to worry about leaking.

Wicking is the biggest challenge in moving to rebuildables. And, you can build and adjust the airflow to any style of vaping.

I would strongly recommend finding yourself a Kayfun and learning how to do simple single wire coil wrap builds. Youtube is a great resource for learning simple stuff like this.

If you are using standard coils, buying a spool of wire could save you alot of money over premade.
I was paranoid when I started but if you can buy 100ft spool for under 15 bucks that's alot of coils. So even if you mess up you are out pennies.
All you need is the wire and cotton to start, can use screwdrivers to wrap.

I have a Berserker Mini, Berserker 24 mm and Siren 2 that I've been using for a few weeks. IMO the Siren 2 is easier when it comes to placing the coil, wicking and filling with juice. The Berserkers are both really good in terms of flavor but I have to bottom fill them to keep my deck from getting flooded and that can be a bit of a PITA, especially with the mini.
I've also tried using my Zeus as MTL device and have had no luck. I just can't close the air down enough to get the type of drag that I get from one of my MTL RTAs.

I am not nearly as experienced as others in this topic, but I find RTA's with "velocity styled" decks the easiest to build on.
Also, sorry to disagree with CC but dripping is a PITA in my opinion
Just my 2 cents

The siren v2, you will likely prefer the 22mm version..

It's the perfect first rta for a mtl vaper.

The good news is that there are more mtl tanks out there now. Choices can go from a classic Kayfun, to the Digiflavor sirens, and that new Busardo RTA. Best is to check the RTA section here to see individual experience. I don't really go low power mtl anymore so I can't give you a specific recommendation on a mtl tank except for maybe the old original Merlin with the air reducer.

Is you're going that route you don't need fancy coils, plain round coils are sufficient and a lot easier to make yourself than learning how to wick properly. Still, if you want to go that route you can get a bag of like 50 coils from FT for not much money at all.
