The drip tip nut is actually just a screwed on beauty ring.
With the nut screwed on, it can be used with any 510 tip.
With the ring removed (screwed off), the supplied 810 tip screws on.

I am not sure why it took me so long to see that. I kept looking at the diameter of the nut. Make sense now.
I just spent an hour trying smaller coils and a 510 dt. Ended up going back to a 3mm alien that is coming in at .44. Little better battery life running at 35.5 watts.
I think my perfect coil would be 2.75mm diameter. 3mm coils have to be set perfectly not to touch the airflo insert.
First time to "wet coil/wick" an atty in years. Bit of a messy task but this thing definitely provides a great vape.

    Morning shinies ;)

Did a mixathon this morning. Finally tried SSA Ice cream vanilla, and of course I love it - so it's now in all my mixes.

 pretty fly Ange...but you gave me a bigger problem. How the heck did you even do that. I'm soooo computer illiterate

You're not computer illiterate, I'm just geeky and have been playing with graphics since my 20s. That pic was easy - think back to your daughter playing with stickers. That's all it was, an elephant sticker stuck on @Pigs' tree.

    Somewhere between here and there
I did a little mixing myself this morning. I recently got FW creamy sponge cake and looked up some recipes to try it in. I just did 10ml samples to see if I like them. I’m finally caught up on reviews but am expecting more samples in the next day or two.

Ha Ha...took me a while to. It's a bit of a weird design.

Yeah I had a 3.0 in to...had me on my nerves because it's soooo tight in there. I prefer 2.5mm as I do lower power...~15W.
Thinking and looking at it now...it's actually easy to open up the inside of the ring, so a 3.0mm coil fits easier in there.
Clamp it in a vise and file/machine the insides away...all that's really needed is 0.5mm per side.

I bought a few MTL rings from FT as spare for the future...and to experiment with air hole sizes.

Thanks for the link and idea to file out a bit more room. I think I will order another to drill out. A little wider space would be perfect for a 3mm.
Maybe another cabeo to try out 2.5s in there. Maybe a black one so it is easy to tell the different set ups.
I have actually gone back to my first coil as it has the best flavor.

Good idea to get the black...should've thought of that myself...but i'll correct that ;)
Yeah I love this thing mate. Its absolutely made for a SBS.
I've gotten to that stage now that i'm only rotating between the two Cabeos...I don't use the other tanks anymore. I really feel fulfilled...vape wise :hubba:
Ever since I started vaping I had in the back of my mind to only have one tank and one flavor...like in my smoking days...one pack, one lighter
Lately with this Cabeo, i'm kinda feeling i'm there now :D
Then again, this vaping game don't quite work that way
But for now i'm more than content. This Cabeo is THE best damn tank i've ever had...without a shadow of a doubt

Eventually got myself a little fridge for the tobaccos...but its to small already..only half fits
I'll have to get myself better organized. Will use the house freezer to store the bigger bottles of concentrates. They need to last for eternity. I can't bring any tobacco into the country anymore

I've been trying to find more of the black flat plastic 810 to 510 drip tip adapters, that come with most 810 drip tip RDAs and RTAs. Anyone seen them anywhere?

I found these ones at FT which were perfect:

but they got discontinued in my last order.

I like these as they're really thin and wide enough for my fat drip tips. I've got thicker silver ones in my cart at FT, if there's no joy.

When do cicadas come out in your neck of the woods? Every year is different here - our local varieties work on a seven year life cycle, plus it's weather dependent (droughts decimate
I'm sitting here thinking about how they know when to emerge....
I'm theorizing, but the only thing that makes sense to me is through the tree sap they feed off. High summer is usually a time when trees take a hiatus....they semi shut down. They don't feed or grow during this time. We don't feed bonsai during summer for that reason. Come autumn they (the trees) go into catch up mode and throw a good growth spurt again. Again in bonsai we take advantage of that growth.
Now my theory is the cicadas can detect (through the taste or content of the tree sap...less nutrients) when the trees hibernate, and that's their signal to surface.
What is mind boggling is how they know to stay down for the amount of years they do...every specie has its own cycle.

I have been growing bonsai for more than 30 years and so far these have not attacked my trees. I know what they can do so I guess I am just lucky.
In this area we have big hatches from time to time.

Ah another bonsai guy. That is good to know Paul.
Yeah I have to say they haven't given me much trouble either. They did in the beginning until I took measures. First I covered the trees with a shade cloth, but 3 years ago I stumbled apon a silver shade net for my cold frame. That has been a saving grace for me..and the trees.
Before I had that on the temp inside over summer went upwards of 55°C (that's where my thermometer maxes out). Now with it the temp max out at 30°C.
When the cicadas appear I stuff all the trees inside.
