fasttech has the Fat Rabbit Solos listed as custom made to order. I’ve never heard of that previously. Has anyone else?

I’m looking forward to checking it out. I’m using the original dual one now and I love it!

I've been seeing that on their new stock instead of pre-order. But I dunno if that is what it means.

Post a thread asking about it in their Service Help forum:

They're pretty quick to reply in there.

I found the answer on the support page…

“Custom Made-to-Order: the product can be ordered just like all other products, but is made-to-order and as such may require as much as 30 days to manufacture and ship. If you need a better shipping time estimation, please get in touch with us and we will provide the actual time required for that product.”

Think I’ll skip buying it at FT!

    Somewhere between here and there
Who actually has the fat rabbit solo in stock? I’m only finding pre sale or out of stock :nah: It’s making me sad :(

I got one for review but can’t find any in stock anywhere either.

Bummer. If you should happen to see them when they become available give me a shout if you think of it. Thanks.

Reporting a shiny contemplation. With the Aspire Prime X out of action, and my sulking about it not showing signs of subsiding, i'm eying the Vandy Vape Kylin M AIO again...its a oldy, but a goody. What I especially like is the RBA comes with it. I won't use the mesh coil in it though....i'll build my own wire coil. What I like about the coil placement, is it stands up and proud...makes it easier to dry burn, clean and brush.
Yeah i'm starting to feel better already.
Or maybe the DotMod Aio V2....not cheap, but at least its high quality that should last some time. I'm soooo over devices that don't last.

Or maybe in the true spirit of this thread, i'll get both. That'll get me over the Aspire Prime in a hurry :D

A mech will last and last and last and last and last ...-^-... and last. :D
True but I keep mine for doomsday.
I'm not the best mech vaper either. Just tried my two Cabeos and a Dwarv...they're all around 0.5-0.6 ohm. That's my range I like.
All three burnt way to hot for my liking. I usually run that on around 14W. I like a nice cool relaxed vape.

I got a couple of mechs for doomsday too for when you can't buy anything and all my hoard is dead.

same here but I also included several semi regulated mods as well with a couple of backup chips or whatever they’re called. I’m going blank in the name of the mod I’m thinking of. Oh could it be a Noisy Cricket v2?

Oh and I never mentioned that when I bought that raspberry stabwood mod from Vicious Ant they included one of their mech devices I think it was the Phenom 21700 although it maybe be the 18650. I figured it would go into the stash with all the semi regulated mods that I had. Mostly being stabwood squonkers. The most popular were the Asmodus mods like the Luna and Pumpers. I feel a lot more comfortable with those types of mods.

I don’t trust myself enough that I wouldn’t make a mistake setting it up correctly and using them. It’s just the way it is so I’m holding out that the regulated mods will outlast me.

Even so I don’t care for the vaping style of mechs. Basically after the first few hits they just get weaker and weaker as the battery discharges. Totally I don’t understand how people like that so much but variety is the spice of life.

But I know that if and when that time comes I’m secure knowing I have many semi or mechs available to jump into use.

then again I have so many regulated mods I can’t even begin to comprehend that they all would die and I’d need them to vape on.

But I like feeling secure that they’re there and I can also pif some of them to vapor friends along the line.

This is a stock photo of the phenoms VA is gifting to people. I know it’s two toned. I’ll have take a better look. Oh and here it is being ignored because my eyes were feasting on that gorgeous VA Marquis 21700! But what I didn’t know until about 5 minutes ago that the Phenom comes as a stabwood and some very pretty and stricking designs.

sorry about the long text and some how doubling the post. I’m amazing at times lol!

WOW thanks mate. I was looking for other screws...didn't think of removing that positive plate down there. I'll give it another go tonight. I'm hoping to maybe see a loose connection. If its the board itself i'm kinda stuffed.

did you have any luck opening it up and find the problem I hope?

From what I can see, it's telling you that your cells are all in good condition. Just times your data by 10 for this table:

According to 18650 Battery Testing Experts @ Cadex :

    75-150 mOhm - Excellent
    150-250 mOhm - Good
    250-350 mOhm - Marginal
    350-Up mOhm - Bad

All of the cells we use have a DC internal resistance (IR) in the range of 9-60mOhms. The high current rated cells are all under 20mOhms. The 15A-20A ones are typically around 20-25mOhms. The ultra-high capacity cells are 35-60mOhms.

Any cell with a DC IR more than about 30% higher than this is probably at the end of its life. I have no idea what those Cadex numbers are for but it’s not for DC IR for round Li-Ion cells.

AC IR can also be tested and those numbers are all a little lower than the DC IR ones.

IMO, no one should try to evaluate cells using IR. It takes a lot of attention to detail and you’ll have to measure capacity anyway (which takes five hours per cell when done properly).

I bought myself a battery tester to...same as yours.
I'm a bit confused as to what i'm actually testing though. It shows the current charge (3.77)and that charge as a percentage....and the internal resistance (10)
    View attachment 969653

Do I have it on the right setting? What does the resistance indicate...if any?
I tested all my batteries, and the internal resistances varies from 9 to 17. What does that mean?
I'm starting to think that I bought something I don't really need...I mean, my wall battery charger tells me the current charge of a battery.

Is that AC or DC internal resistance?
The numbers are about right for AC IR.

IR can be helpful to sort out real duds but do it all at the same charge level and temperature. It doesn’t take much of an IR difference to be a dud though. For example, a 9-17mOhm spread for the same model of cell would be HUGE and indicate that either there was inconsistency in the testing or that one or more cells are bad.
