I used Cotton Bacon Prime a lot, definitely a favorite. @Letitia hipped me to some good cotton off Amazon and I've been using that recently. I think it's Japanese Organic...

Is it the 13 feets? I've just been try that. It's pretty popular.

I love my 13 Feets. Doesn't smell as nice as that fryin' bacon (@Zazie sore point it may be, but who can resist?) but it wicks incredibly fast and is excellent value.

    Morning shinies ;)

I've been having a Mega Cottonathon between Cotn Lump and Cotton Bacon Prime.

CB used to be my favourite - but I switched to Cotn as it was ridiculously cheap locally, and lasted longer. But I find it harder to get an even density wick with Cotn, so I'm actually using a lot more. And it wasn't until I tried CB prime again - that I figured this out

So I'm back to happily vaping Bacon, and please ignore this post if you are a member of the Rayonati®

I guess that would include me  I claim ignorance as I was just a noobie vaper and very noobie rba builder when the rayonatis got me in their grips. I’ve never used anything else except for one time that I used cotton and thought it disgusting- blahhh :w00t: !!

I figure why mess something up that’s working great for me so i just keep using the rayon. It can’t get much cheaper esp on AMAZON and no weird aftertaste flavor to it. Doesn’t need to be “broken” in as how I’ve heard others speak about cotton.

But that’s just the great thing about vaping and vapors. There are many ways to do something and it adds variety. How boring would it be if we ALL vaped the same way!

Willing to bet 100 bucks that the ''warning'' was put there due to someone stuffing their face with the cotton because they thought it was actual Bacon :lol:

I used cotton bacon prime exclusively for a long time. Had a friend send me a tin of KGB to try and really liked it. I’m using Cloud 9 now and it’s also very good. All 3 work very well, I just waste less and get the same amount per coil with the KGB or Cloud 9. The Cloud 9 is the softest fluffiest I’ve tried yet. No need to thin or anything just trim and tuck.

I use Cotton Man's Upland Sliver (formerly Mavaton's Select). It lasts and lasts. Been using Butch's cottons for many years. Upland Sliver - The Cotton Man

Also use Tidi Rayon balls. I like switching off between cotton and rayon.

Agree 100% about Cloud 9, it's definitely the best I've tried. But I'm a compulsive rewicker - and I just use too much too quickly for its price.

I might try that. I have the 13 feets of cotton but feel like I waste a lot even with splitting the strand in half.

    VAPE MAIL!

I was just in the middle of building an original Recurve and yaaay I finally received the Asmodus Amighty in gradient blue to purple, the new Recurve v3 and a nice drip tip by Vandy Vapemall from Element Vapes.

I don’t usually get deliveries at 7:30 on a Sunday night!

It was an independent parcel service and actually had me sign my name which I have yet to do with anything coming through the USPS. It was from a USA vape shop so no customs stuff to deal with.

There is a sticker on it that’s making me a bit nervous. However I did just check my invoice and they had taken MA sales tax AND MA vape tax plus the Signature fee. It was over $80 so I did get “free” shipping.

    So I guess I shouldn’t worry.

Congrats on the vape mail. That is odd to get it on a Sunday. Heck, we haven’t been getting any mail about every other Saturday. I don’t know if they’re short handed or what. I was supposed to get the government Covid tests yesterday but no mail was delivered again.

The Upland Sliver is corded. I cut 2 1/2 to 2 5/8 inch strips. Each strip split in half will give me two wicks for a 2.5mm ID coil with a little left over. I never have any wasted cotton with Upland Sliver.

I usually get 12-16 days on a wick. It's very absorbent cotton. It feels like silk compared to every other cotton I've tried. Other cottons feel like rough sandpaper.

    This is the one Ange.

13 Feets does have a break in time a bit longer than some cotton but then it wicks great and lasts fine.
A bit like SMT's Upland Sliver, I find each section of rope does two wicks for 2.5mm ID coils with some left over.
I don't understand how you could waste any because the left over strands go together to form new sections, as long as you cut the lengths consistently.

I've used so many different brands of cotton over the years and some are much finer quality, but this ticks all the practical boxes for the way I vape.

And thanks @Letitia for putting me on to it!!

Upland Sliver (pronounced slīver; sly-ver) is unbleached, no pesticides, no dyes or chemicals. It has near zero break-in. There are no off-putting tastes whatsoever.

Butch (Fahey Byrum III) down in lovely Edenton, NC is "The Cotton Man". I've known him since 2016. His farm been in the cotton business for a very long long time.

Butch is a total riot to talk with via phone. Very friendly and an all around great guy. He loves to chat and freely share what he knows about cotton. The man seriously knows his cotton.

For the cotton bacon users, Adam the guy who makes Breezetones coils has an excellent YouTube video on using it. Just search Cotton Bacon Roll. If I’m wicking CBP I use his method and it works very well. I’d put the link but I’m not to computer savvy, I do good to make a post lol.
