Got up early and made it to my spot by 5. Landed two fat Luderick. Windy morning but beautiful. Back at work with sand in my shoes by mid morning.

Here's one of the fish:

And here's a photo of Burraghee taken in about 1910.

The wooden structure at the end of the wharf is gone now and so are the fence railings. The rusty old rail tracks are still there.

Nice fish T and I love the old photo. What's the average size of the Luderick you catch? Do they put up a good fight?

Thanks J. The average size where I catch them is around 36 to 40cm.
They are renowned as hard fighters. Not fast runs but rough and tumble brawling with lots of stamina. We use light lines and long, soft rods to cushion the lunges.

    Good evening folks,
ummm, now my plans start to be complete, ordered those Mod Dog Switches, their dna flex cable, and a couple 510 connectors.

    And..................
I would tell Dicodes that you are a new modder who is just starting. You are. I would leave the hobby modder part out. They don't need to know that.
    Hello Tor Raymond Haagensen

In this case you can get the V3 chip from us directly. Your price is 74Euro/1 + shipping. Attached you will find some simple docs, pls check if they are helpful.

We went fishing in the Fjord and sometimes close to the seaside. We got mostly mackerel and sometimes codfish. The nature is fantastic, you can be happy to live there!

    Regards

    Georg Usai
Dicodes, I did not expected this at all, they are awesome !!!!

Sooo, I was super psyched with Ecigone at first, but their delivery has been anything short of impressive. Part of it isn't their fault, and part of it definitely is.

I originally ordered 2 SXmini's and an Ultroner Alieno Stabwood. I then created another order for a dotshell and the adapter, and asked if I could append it to the previous order since the original order was still waiting to ship because of pre-order. I get the okay, pay for the second shipment, and everything should be hunky dory.

The package arrives and the Alieno and one of the SXmini's works as intended, while the 2nd SXmini doesn't turn on. No dotshell or adapter to be found. I email Ecigone and mention the package arrived and that one of the SXmini's doesn't turn on while the other works fine. And also asked about the second part of the order.

    The response I got was...

    Screenshot_20221115-175926_Chrome.jpg

Stapled? You stapled two packages together to go overseas and you expected them to stay together for the entirety of the trip?

And if I got one SXmini working, but the other I didn't, shouldn't we assume that... Never mind.

I have a strong feeling this is going to be a long ordeal with customer service, and one I may end up eating the cost on to avoid absolute frustration... :-x

I'm sorry to hear that it got complicated.
We have to be on them until they sort things out, and now in these Chinese times we have to try our best, make a Hall of Fame and a Hall of Shame list.

In case FT is going the way of the Moa bird: they still have Abyss tank replacement tanks, so I ordered them:
    https://www.fasttech.com/p/9740710
    And some o-rings.

They still have the Abyss SBS kit if anyone needs one:
    https://www.fasttech.com/p/9740716

And I found another source of grub screws:
Stainless Steel Fasteners - Shop Cheap Stainless Steel Fasteners from China Stainless Steel Fasteners Suppliers at Baigu Fasteners Store on Aliexpress.com
I have a couple sbs kits coming from them already.

I had a positive experience ordering the Alieno from them and later was going to order an sxmini and a couple accessories but they wanted $22 shipping. I placed the same order with vaping101 and shipping was only $12 and the item prices were basically the same.

The next thing on the purchasing plan is a good soldering station with quality tin.
I'm thinking a bit about the Weller WE 1010, does anyone have experience with a soldering station and Printed Circuit Board?
Weller is a very good brand of soldering iron, the main thing would be to have an adjustable temperature control on the soldering station and of course it be comfortable looking to use:thumb:

It has an adjustable temperature, is no bigger than 75w, but it should last a lot for small soldering like this.

Have already bought a soldering table with magnifying glass, crocodile clamps.

Weller makes good stuff. I’ve kept a weller butane powered iron in my tool case at work for years. I haven’t tried the WE1010 but am sure it’s good. I have one like this at work too.

Sounds like fun. Wish I was there. Was reading up on the Luderick, sounds like they're tasty too.

That's awesome Tor!!! I can't wait to see the mods you create.

After reading what Georg had to say about Norway, I'd like to visit your country too! I recently watched an excellent nature show on Norway. It's a very beautiful and amazing country.

    Hello Shiny's
Gunmetal is pretty light and more of a matte shine than the qp mr rta (now on the Odin 100). I'll have to root around for a lighter gunmetal atty. Might just have to go with silver which looks okay thanks to the cut outs on the mod.

It's pretty light in weight, huh?

Thoughts so far other than color?
