Is it my 18500 project we are talking about?
If so, there are 2 mods I will be designing and building, what they have in common is the Evolv dna Go chipset, mounted on the bottom of the mod, a side mounted switch.
That gives me 10-15mm height of 510. An 18500 battery tube is 57.5mm high, a little calculation of 510 height for Dvarw 16 rta.
Mod two is for FeV vs dual atty which is 56mm high.
Dani 25 with 25-24mm reduction is on my list

I've had no issues using other Vapcell batts, and will probably go for these 18500's when needed for my preferred MTL...
Last time I bought a batch of 18500s I went with the Basen Black. Reccomended by Mooch as being ok.
Basen rate them as 1100mAh , 22A(LOL).
Mooch tested them at 1200mAh and with a CDR of 12A. Plenty for what I needed.
I still have 4 in occasional rotation - no problems.
I bought some of the AW 18490s a few years ago. Button tops. Then I was warned there are lots of unsafe clones (not re-wraps) on the market.
I heard they were considered the best at one time. Guess that's why they were cloned.
Yeah, it's was your project I was thinking of.
Just 18500 availability makes things somewhat considerably awkward is all.

Ecolux in the UK has the Vapcell K15 1500mAh 15A 18500 batteries for £4.99. They also have some other 18500's (some of which I've never heard of).

FWIW, Peter at KHW Mods (Dvarw's) sells Keeppower batteries. He wouldn't sell junk batteries.
ETA: Like the Basen 18500 @Pigs posted, I sincerely doubt the 22A claim on the Keeppower 18500.

I seem to remember they were highly recommended back in the day. I remember stacking two tenergy batteries in mods back then.

Marty has listed every SbS mod known. He lists all the technical details for each one including the dimensions, chipsets used and the size of the atty drops. FWIW, there is much good info in the group on high-end to budget SbS mods.
Perhaps browsing through the photo's and specs might give you some additional design ideas for your future creations???

FWIW, there is an ECF member from Russia who recently began designing mods. We've been chatting for nearly a year regarding his designs. Last month he sent me some photos and a couple videos of a mech squonker he is working on. It's 3D printed. Looks pretty nice. He is also designing AIO/Boro mods (regulated and mech). His initial plan was to go with Yihi chipsets. I gave my thoughts on the Yihi chips and he decided to go with Dicodes and DNA chipsets instead (great idea!!!).

Fooooor, what purpose? What's the target and max wattage use? Best all-around are still probably the Molicel P28A's, with the P26A's close behind them.
