I don’t want to violate any rules, so I’ll make this as generic as possible. It’s possible it’s been out for a while, but I just heard about it.... tobacco free nicotine ( totally synthetic, and supposedly fda approved). Would something like this fall outside the deeming, or still be considered a tobacco product? Or, has someone tried it, and it’s awful? “Synthetic” makes me a little nervous, but the possibility of getting around the fda hoopla makes me smile.

Useful for drug testing I guess) but I don't know that FDA approval would make me feel all "excitement" about it. FDA testing lasts 12 weeks, for the most part. So we will be the guinea pigs for "synthetic" nicotine for a while.... Just how it goes.
Of course it's going to be classified, it starts with the letter "N" so it will be. It's "unusual status" is not going to make it our last bastion of reserve, to put it mildly. When I get empty tanks with warning stickers on them, I am FAIRLY CERTAIN that "synthetic" nicotine will be treated JUST LIKE the real thing. Etc.

I just received four text messages from Amazon for deliveries! and, the big delivery days are Friday and Saturday... My leasing office is gonna be like, WTF!
LOL It is a challenge just to get flea drops on my Beana. Have to sneak up on her when she's asleep, if I'm lucky I'll get 2 or 3 drops on before she bolts. Can take a week to get one treatment on her. Can't imagine trying to dress her.

FDA testing lasts years (many more than 3-5), at least for drug trials. I work on the consumer protection side (aka, making sure the FDA and pharma aren’t harming people). I don’t trust them or their intentions, but the thought of non tobacco nic is intriguing.
