Should have this by tomorrow or Monday. I ordered it 2 days ago from a local retailer called Vapr - same place I bought the ultem BB. They have a good range of boro gear and accessories and prices are decent with fast delivery.

yes and I have a newly acquired Drag X with the 510 fitting and only the magnetic pods to go on top
I just don’t remember if the pod tank came with a mod or by itself. I’ll do a little digging and see if I can figure it out.

Ok, the pnp pod tank was packaged with the original Argus GT which I happen to have a few of. I dug through my voopoo stash and found one. Shoot me a pm and I’ll send you a pod tank.

    Good afternoon guys,
My pico's are finished, the ones with att's have AF firmware. The one I had sanded down I painted black again.

I wish I had bought more with micro usb. The soldering went well when I switched around the chipsets, got better over time, maybe I'll check them all on the soldering and try to improve.

We were out with Øsa in the forest on Monday, picture from where we sat on my farm, pine, birch, oak forest:

I'm about to run out of storage space on my PC, ie my clutter has taken over, we'll see, considering buying an 8TB HDD, if so I hope the bios supports it lol

Good morning shiny people. I’ve been eyeing the bp mods Warhammer but hadn’t seen it anywhere I’m familiar with until this morning. HC has it on preorder. I didn’t know the body was plastic. It kinda makes it a little less attractive to me.

    good morning folks,

I was going grocery shopping after today's round on the spin bike, but I went way too hard, and once my thighs hurt so much I tried doing intervals. And then the shopping trip was postponed until tomorrow....

Hopefully you're looking at SSDs. More reliable and faster than the old platter HDDs. Samsung are a good brand.
To late, ordered WD Gold WD8004FRYZ this morning.

I paid $228 plus VAT for the WD Gold 8TB.
The main use is to store files, and moving files is very rare.
I have an SSD disk for the OS and software.
I have a question Tor. If you have an SSD for the OS plus a regular HD for files, do they have separate drive names, C and D, or are they both considered part of the C drive?

I'm looking at doing that. SSD is a bit pricey to get one big enough for everything on my computer. How much extra work comes up from having two separate disks?

Sorry, I'll let you folks get back to talking about vaping.

Yup, with me the SSD is the smallest, but big enough to have the OS and all the programs.
The storage disks have their own letters, they can be merged in windows, but I prefer to split the large disks, easier to keep organised, easier to scan etc.

    Hello Shiny's
Just waiting for dinner to be delivered, pizza & pasta from Domino's. Might as well mix up a margarita while I wait eh?

I'm no expert when it comes to data storage but my understanding is that the jury is still out on long term data storage for SSDs.
For medium term (a few years) SSDs, which have no moving parts, are more reliable and less prone to error than HDDs.
If you have important data stored on HDDs, best practice is to get them out and spin the drive every few months. The moving parts at high speed (5400 or 7200 RPM) and low tolerances mean that they can seize up if left idle. Their magnetic storage also makes them fragile. I've got a cupboard full of hard drives with client data stored and it makes me nervous. Every now and then I'll pull out a drive to access some files and the drive has failed. That's why whole businesses are dedicated to data recovery - costs a bomb.

For a while there back in the 90s, the conventional wisdom was that CDs and DVDs would be the best option for long term storage -for the same reason, no moving parts - but they proved to be prone to Disc Rot and other problems. I'm sure we've all opened up a CD that hasn't been played for a few years and noticed errors.
