It's SO difficult to get an idea of experience, that's the hardest part for me in making a correct decision. I considered the 5 and the Prime from the beginning. Problem is, I don't entirely understand what all I need to purchase.

If I buy the 5-

Wants
Polished Stainless
More than 2ml capacity.

Another option for a high-end MTL rta........... KHW mods Dvarw MTL FL. I have a couple, they are excellent MTL RTA's. Very comparable to a Kayfun Prime or KFL.

Nice thing about the Dvarw is the number of available AF inserts. One can have a "true" MTL to a very airy MTL (or an RDL).

I have one setup for MTL and the other setup for an airy MTL to a tight RDL.

Also have a Dvarw DL setup for more of a "tweener" between RDL and DL.

How would I compare a Kayfun to a Dvarw? Each offers excellent flavor. I would give the nod to the Dvarw's for being very easy to build on and wick. Some people find Kayfun's to be difficult to build on and wick. Wicking on Kayfun's is a challenge for some people. I find Kayfun's easy to build/wick. The Dvarw's and KFL's are bottom fill RTA's. The Prime and K5's are topfill with JFC (juice flow control).

I always have a Kayfun and a Dvarw in my normal rotation.

I DO appreciate your knowledge and the input of suggestive options of quality MTL RTAs. My only problem is throwing more suggestions of quality hardware into the mix, sends me chasing other directions..lol.

Edit- Send me all your good shiet so I can play with it, then I'll make a decision of hands-on...and send back to you...ROFL

I own many high-end RTA's. Whenever I've purchased one, I have always bought all the spare parts I would ever need for those. As in, my looking to be future proof.

Last thing I want is an RTA that has no spare parts available from the manufacturer. In fact, I won't purchase an RTA that has no spare parts available.

I look at high-end RTA's as an investment for my vaping future. None of the Chinese manufacturers, that I know of, sell spare parts for their RBA's. But then again, none of the Chinese manufacturers make what I consider to be high-end RBA's.

FWIW, my simple advice, purchase all the optional spare parts you might need and can afford. Spare glass, spare SS tank, spare insulators, etc. etc. You don't have to purchase everything all at once like I normally do, you can spread your purchases out if need be.

Quality spare o-rings for any RBA can always be bought via one of the dedicated o-ring online sellers.

Very honestly, if you prefer a very high quality MTL, I do not think you can go wrong with purchasing a Kayfun Prime. It will give you several airflow options. Its smaller chamber is designed for MTL. Generally speaking, a smaller chamber size = better flavor (more condensed, if you will).

LOL, a couple other high-end RTA's for you to consider.......... Squape Arise, Atmizoo Tripod and the Atmizoo Aer. I own each of those. They are all excellent, offer great flavor and are easy to build on and wick.

I'm vaping on my Squape Arise 24mm as I write this. LOLz

The Squape Arise 22mm was designed as MTL, 24mm Arise ranges from MTL to DL. The Atmizoo Tripod and Aer will do MTL to DL with AF inserts.

I have other high-end RTA's, but those have long been discontinued. The ones I've mentioned are all readily available.

I get the- buy all the spares bit, to be self-sufficient over the long-term. I'm a prepper type. What I don't want to do is shoot from the hip, not knowing exactly what's necessary for spares and vapocalypse.

A hurdle I've come upon when trying to find where to buy a Kayfun from, that has stock, and will ship to me in USA, has been a frustrating affair. Many times with many different items, I've been so frustrated...I click the "X" and leave the website. I've went as far as ordering, paying for and expecting email confirmation and "shipped".....only to receive "order cancelled". Even after emailing them to find out why it was canceled, to get no response.

Situations like that get me PO'd and I lose interest pursuing what I've wanted any further.

Got any particular websites that ship state side?

Right. What I personally find to be necessary for spares and prepping are......

Spare glass tank sections, a spare stainless steel tank section, spare insulators, spare plastic tank sections (Dvarw) and o-rings. Those will set you up nicely for self sufficiency (and the vapocalypse).

When you find the RTA you like best, I would consider purchasing a second one as a backup (vapocalypse thinking).

How many of each spare part to purchase? That's totally up to you. If you have a tendency to break glass tank sections, buy several extras. Or go with a stainless steel tank section.

An RTA with a SS tank section looks nice and you won't have to worry about breaking glass. Here is one of my Dvarw's with a SS tank.

I bought a full set of the airflow inserts for my Dvarw's - those give me options to tailor my vape as desired. I also purchased spare o-rings for my Dvarw's as a few of those are, more or less, specialty o-rings.

Yes.

In the UK - for Kayfun's and a few others:

In the USA - also for Kayfun's and a few others:

Dvarw in Hungary:

Squape Switzerland:

Atmizoo in Greece:

I've purchased gear from all of those, several times, and never had any problems or issues whatsoever.

@Real-ist if you do Facebook, look-up and join the "No Boro's High End Mods RTA's RDA's BST" private group. It's a good group, nice people. A lot of very nice gear is regularly posted in the group.

There are always people selling high-end RTA's in that group. And, you can place a wanted post for whatever RTA you might be looking for.

My only advice for the B/S/T (buy/sell/trade) groups is to always ask a seller for vouches. If they are a legitimate seller they will provide vouches that you can then ask about a seller.

ETA: I've purchased a fair amount of gear via a few different B/S/T FB groups. Never had any issues. Everything I've purchased via B/S/T has come from Europe.

I loathe Facebook, but not enough to potentially keep me from a good deal.

Couldn't find a group with that exact name. Is this the group you're talking about: H|GH End Mods & Rda's Rta's and Rdta"s ?

IMHO, Facebook is okay, one just needs to "tailor it" to ones desired use. I have a few ID's on FB. The two I mainly use are kept very clean and clear of all things irritating.

The group you linked isn't a buy/sell/trade group. It's for posting hand-check photos and the like.

Here is the group I mentioned..........

Well now that begs the question, doesn't it?

What did you do to get banned, if you don't mind sharing?

    Kayfun Prime….Nite DLC & SS

    IMG_1776.jpeg

Two Primes, slightly different, inside they are the same.
In the box, the standard is 2ml glass. With SS tube it is around 2.5ml?
    Ultem kit is capacity 3.5ml.
All three give the same height, 45.5mm + 510 + drip tip.

    Extension kit, 4ml glass.
So it is that the Extension kit is equal to the Kayfun 5 standard.
#35017 is Kayfun 5 SS tube, capacity around 5.5ml
Then there is a bulb SS tank for Kayfun 5, #35004, it increases the capacity by 1ml more so that the Prime on the right has a capacity of 6.5ml.
    Hight is 55.5mm + 510 + Drip Tip

Both have the Air Nozzle kit, #35007, while the tank extension has part number i#35003

I don't mind sharing!! It wasn't anything major the creator of the group, Peter and myself didn't see eye to eye on a few things and he decided that I wasn't worthy of his group and randomly kicked me out one day! I'm usually a good boy on Facebook, promise
