Tomorrow afternoon is the first Steampipes Cocoon drop, 150 units, something tells me to be on time, have the card ready, the code chip ready, and get it done within a few minutes. I think it is very good that Steampipes has set 1 per customer.
In advance I have prepared a shopping list, everything I need is placed on the favorites list in the store, I have tested how to dump the list in the shopping cart, I am ready!:greengrin::greengrin:

I was not lucky with Coocon even though I was very well prepared, but the Steampipes server was overloaded and when I got to payment, their server crashed, after I refreshed Coocon was sold out.
Took 4 minutes on 150 attys.

    Morning shinies ;)

I discovered a new leakproof test for pod devices.
    1. Fill the tank.
    2. Run around and take pretty pictures of it.
    3. Accidentally throw it into a creek.
    4. Retrieve it and let it dry out for 2 or 3 days.
    5. See if it vapes or just blows up.

My poor uwell g3 lite came through with top marks, and I've been vaping its head off ever since.

As usual, I could do better with how the wires stay.
I feel you. Even without a usb charge/data port it's a tight fit. My last one was the hardest because the control button pcb had 4 wires instead of 2. I had to shorten my earth wires twice to be able to close the cover.

My third was the smoothest, for some reason when I went back to bb1 and to dna 60c, everything became very very difficult again.
The flex cable was very nice on one of the ones I made, so I'll probably have to try to lay the grounding in the same way on the one I'm working on now.

I've gotten over the Cocoon disappointment, there were 3000 trying to get hold of each of the 150 that were available.

I’m sad :( . One of my Revenant Delta squonkers gave up the ghost this week. Unit was working fine then just wouldn’t turn on again. Tried multiple different batteries but nothing. It must’ve passed in its sleep.

This is actually the first mod that I’ve lost since I started vaping 6 years ago well except the vape pen that self destructed that started auto firing and never stopped. I thought the battery was venting and chucked it out the door when I couldn’t get it to stop. I couldn’t touch it it it was so hot. Very scary especially for a noobie.

It’s the reason I don’t leave my mods on when I’m not using them. I use to take the batteries out. I just happened to be walking by the table it was on when it started firing! I wasn’t even using it like two weeks ago when the Centaurus auto fired. All that needed was an alcohol saturated q tip swabbed around the firing button and it hasn’t happened since. I still turn it off though.

Ever since that 1st auto fire experience I don’t trust these chinese mod’s safety features. I’m not going to risk home and limb counting on these cheap chips. I also keep multiple fire extinguishers in my house.

So any vape things going on this weekend? I’ve been selling a lot of my unused gear fortunately so I’ve been busy with that. It’s time consuming! You have to decide on the piece, take decent pics, research prices, the post a description and post it.

And then respond to everyone who is interested in the item. Doesn’t help that I’m “mildly” confused on a good day with nothing going on lol :w00t:  !!!
