Does it matter if it’s a button top or flat top? In mooch’s list it contains both.
My understanding is that mods are meant for flat tops, so button tops don't tend to fit.Does it matter if it’s a button top or flat top? In mooch’s list it contains both.
The button tops are required for the original Provari tube mods that had the little notch in the circuit board and were designed around the old AW branded batteries (RIP AW). There might be some other old skool mods that need the buttons too. The Provari notch was their version of protection against inserting the battery upside down.Does it matter if it’s a button top or flat top? In mooch’s list it contains both.

Ok thanks for this! The button tops are required for the original Provari tube mods that had the little notch in the circuit board and were designed around the old AW branded batteries (RIP AW). If you have more modern mods, you probably need the flat tops. I think I heard stories of using a button top in a flat top mod, and actually bending the mod's connection points because the button was a little too tall for the modern mod.
That does help thanks. I think I’ll stick with the 18650 battery configuration instead of the 18350.My understanding is that mods are meant for flat tops, so button tops don't tend to fit.
I took a look, and don't see any 18350s that can go up to 40w (not safely, anyway), only ~10a/30w max.
The Vapcell V2 M11 Mooch reviewed but never added to the list sounds like the best of the bunch ("the best performing high current rated 18350 you can buy now IMO."). Liion has them here if you're interested. Hope that helps.
It's an absolute pleasure Ange they honestly couldn't have gone to a better and more loving homeWe have amazing vapemail

The last Juggerknot MR in the world, the world's most gorgeous Alieno and some posh coils to play with. Thank you so much Dan!

!I don’t do super high wattages - 30 to 40 watts usually. (+ a 0.3Ω coil)

Those custom coils were made especially for my Brunhilde MTL RTA's, they're pretty specialthey're optimum wattage range is between 25-30 watts, anything outside this range and my Brunhilde's will come over and beat your Juggy up

Thanks again for explaining this to me. I agree with you that I should stick with the 18650 setup.A 0.3Ω coil is going to draw 14A (amps) on a fully charged (4.2V) 18350. I do not know of an 18350 that can do 14A.
Mooch's current Top Rated 18350 is the Vapcell M11 v2 1100mAh, max continuous discharge is 10A. I have 4 of those, they are really good batteries. The older Vapcell A11 1100 mAh 10A is also a solid performer (I have 4 of those).
I regularly use 18350's - - - but never with a coil lower than 0.6Ω (7A draw / regulated mod). It's my understanding that one wants to have some headroom (amps) when using 18350's (or for that matter any battery). Ummm....... Think Safety!!! LOL
Raise your coil to 0.5Ω or 0.6Ω and 30 watts - sure, it will work. But ummm....... you Will Not get much run-time on an 18350 at all.
With 18350's I use a 0.6Ω coil (and up) and vape MTL between 10.5W to 12.5W (on regulated mods) in order to Maximize The Run-time of an 18350. With that setup, an 18350 will last me most of a day. When I use 18350's in my tube mech mods I might get 1/2 a day, 3-4 hours maybe, (max).
18350's are not a good match for a 0.3Ω coil at 30-40 watts. You would be pushing the battery Beyond its Specifications.
I understand the Reload Tube mod you ordered can take 18350's but.........
For your vaping specs (0.3Ω coil at 30-40 watts) you really should be using an 18650, 20700 or 21700 battery.![]()
