but then, 20 years on............. hmmm, 18650's, 20700's or 21700's may be long gone..........
rendering all of our vapes.............. freakin' useless............. { tragedy }.............
"toothpick nic-dipping then"............
Every week you read about some new battery tech they are working on. Someone speculated here about batteries the size of an aspirin installed in an 18650 sized sled that would last for 6 months between charges.

I entered a little competition on Facebook a few days ago, Waffles they call em'! It was the first one I've popped my name in for a long time because I really don't need any more vape hardware!! but this was a new Aussie group so I thought I'd have a crack for something I really really don't need :w00t: it was all drawn last night and I watched it this morning and the winner was... wait for it one Mr Daniel Forsyth:banana:
It wasn't a sexy stabwood this time I won a beautiful Billet Box and an Atmizoo rba:thumb:
And I'm hoping I scored the little gorilla too!!

    Somewhere between here and there
    looks nice Hitt!!!

looking forward to your YouTube video rendition of SRV's "Lenny"

You’re going to be waiting a long time. It’s a player plus hss. Still made in Mexico like my first strat but this one has locking tuners, upgraded pick ups, and you can pull the bottom tone knob to split the humbucker. I just love the silver burst colors. I wanted something I wouldn’t be afraid to play because of wear. Plus Sweetwater had an extra 10% off on top of the sale price so it was a pretty good deal. The last couple years I’ve played very little and never was great to begin with so was thinking this purchase would get me back interested in practicing.

@Pigs may ask you what your Billet Box situation is?
I've got one authentic Billet Box (a BBV 2019 Piebald), one early gold SXK clone with a SEVO 70 board, a 2023 SXK DNA 60 Ultem, and two aluminium chassis BBs that I custom built with DNA boards. (those colourful red camo devices - my favourites) I love my BBs!

It's a tough one. Boxes take up so much space but anything that could be collectable in the future is worth many times more in the original packaging. I was just watching an Antiques Roadshow episode yesterday where one of the experts was making that point.
Maybe it won't just be Provaris that'll have increased resale value. We might be surprised - who'd have guessed that the toys from the 60s/70s/80s would be worth what they are.
(rationalisation of a hoarder? )

I've seen some Lego collectors solve the box problem by carefully flattening the boxes and stacking them
    I LOVE Antiques Roadshow!!

Good evening everyone. I cooked a mess of pinto beans and ham hocks. My wife made several pans of cornbread. Country food for fall.

Dual 21700 Voopoo, Yes it's always 1-1-2018. I can't decide on flavour so I am dripping. Trying some well-aged Swedish surströmming juice for the first time tonight.... found it in a box of vape stuff I acquired from a friend. Yea HAHA inside joke. Very nice cherry tobacco. Cherry mail pouch. Not too sweet.

First time I heard someone say "A mess of pinto beans" was the day I arrived in the South. I also heard the word "reckon" and learned there really was something called a Possum (and not just on the show "The Beverly Hillbillies" ) My mother-in-law was a true southerner and even cooked something called Hogjaw, I allowed myself to learn a little from her. How to can cucumbers and make them into pickles. How to catch a firefly and put it in a jar for my daughter.

I grew up in North Central Appalachia and currently live in the Deep South. When I moved here, I gained 70 pounds. There is lots of good food, including many mom-and-pop BBQ places, as well as traditional soul food. Coastal cuisine is different. It also has a very different culture. If I get bored with the local scene, I can drive over to Louisiana and even experience New Orleans (NOLA). I finished up the beans today. Many people don't realize how regional food and culture are still alive and thriving in the United States. Most people know "HogJaw" to be a band.

Cats will not be sleeping under the covers tonight.... :vapor:

Also a good evening to everyone!

    IMG_8817.jpg

it's our land, roughly 1.2km (3/4's of a mile) from our place up in the north woods.........
love the changin' colors and many smells of autumn............
many trees have dropped most of their leaves already......
    a good number haven't yet...........

then went sat by the lake, it's about a 3km hike (1.8 miles) from the spot above......
    sat and watched migrating geese........
they were landing on the lake, resting some, then taking flight........
you can ( kinda/sorta ) make a few out, upper right, on the lake.............. LOLz
    IMG_8803.jpg

sat there for a good long while.............
had a vape with me, never pulled it outta my pack all day........

best part............ total tranquility being out in nature

LOL .. yeah, same here ... I never seen a possum in my life until I moved to Pennsylvania. I also seen my first Amish person after moving here along with a whole slew of genuine hillbillies. I am originally from the Northwest (Montana) and they do not have such things there.
