My oven at work has no stovetop, I was thinking roasted with root veggies and maybe get @Opinionated to send me a recipe for a good rustic bread.

My wife and I lived on hamburger helper, ramen noodles and beans n' rice for a solid year. 1988. She was still in college. We only had my P.O.S. car. We had a two BR/1BA "cottage."

I'd go to the store with $25 to buy groceries for two weeks.

Never ran out of cigarettes or beer, though.

Oooh, need an OUCH button.

Also, I am amazed at what men say "don't hurt." A coil finger sounds plenty painful to ME. The husband managed to cut his thumb pretty much in two rehabbing our old house. He sat down, bleeding, and then washed and taped it back together. It took about 3 months to heal completely, and he claims it "didn't hurt."

I call that "shock and Appalachia medicine" but he calls it "non-painful."

I am never buying flat wire, thanks for the heads up, just as I am never using a jig saw, or remving a tooth with rusty garage pliers! Yes the husband did that once, although after THAT one he did look a little faint with dismay. I made him a dentist appointment the next day and would have done it SOONER, had he not evidenced no dismay about his killer tooth.

Stuff like this is why men need wives. It's also why giving birth... while the Suck.... may actually be easier than being a guy, at least if you only have ONE kiddo, LOL.

Ugh - he's FOS! I cut the top of my index finger off with a chef's knife once. Hurt more than being in labor! Wouldn't stop bleeding for over 4 hours. Miraculously, there's no scar or any sign of it now. Omg did it hurt though [emoji51][emoji51][emoji51]

I'll just say this.
Stabbed my hand trying to separate two frozen hamburger patties before a 12 hour shift.

Wife said go to hospital, I just wrapped in an old shirt and went to work. Bled fairly bad but drive an hour to work.

Was working pretty well, little discomfort, but someone saw blood coming out of my glove. I'd been unloading a truck for about 4 hours, didn't think too much about it.

They pull me into office, worried I'd done it there. I convinced them all was well, but they insisted on seeing it.

It's Item wrapped up in a bloody piece of fabric for a bit so looked far worse than was. I assured them I was fine but the .......s sent me home. Wife made me fo to er even though it's stopped shortly before I got home.

Couple of stitches and had to promise not to use it for a bit.

I didn't...until next day.

Only hurts as bad as you let it.

Hahaha! You didn't hit the right nerve. I didn't go to the hospital either. I found the piece of my finger on the knife later. I assure you, the tip of your index finger has a gajillion nerves you don't know about until you cut one. ...Did I mention childbirth was easy by comparison? I've also broken ribs twice. That sucks, but still, no comparison.

Oh--- I once had a cat bit my hand... Punctured a hole right through it. I was about 6. I could see the inside "guts" of my hand. I still have the scar. Still - hardly hurt compared to cutting off the tip of my finger.

I was just informed by someone they “made their own” juice when they worked in a BM, they would use 10ml of Lorran watermelon and Strawberry flavor extracts in a 30ml bottle of juice... Am I only only one gagging thinking that percentage seems off?

very high but they say it will mute the flavor.do not want to test that theory.

You are going to find some flavors need a higher percentage. Every brand has a few. Also need higher percentages for SnV's. Cap sweet tangerine is a good example. SnV 8-10%, mix as a forward note 6-8% if not using another tang to boost), mix as a complimentary/background note 3-4%. Most b&m mix for SnV so use higher percentages.

It will mute the flavor for some, especially in a recipe. Not always tho. I've learned to not assume, hate the homework but it is needed.

@Sickbxy keep in mind 10% in a 30ml mix is only .9ml, so the flavor between the two is less than 2ml of the 30ml total. I have LA watermelon and it is weak and watery.
your math is different from mine.i get 33 1/3% if you use 10 ml in a 30ml mix.
