Now that is quite the entertaining video, hows the battery door on the iPV400? Terrible on the iPV8 it will pop open looking at it the wrong way.

Stopped at a shop on the way to work. They had both a Pulse and Athena there. Both were kits. I liked the Athena better except for the atty. I liked the pulse atty much more. I am thinking about ordering the Athena (mod only) and was wondering if any Squonkers here have any thoughts on the device.
I have both mods (not the kits) and prefer the Pulse much more over the Athena. The Athena is good looking but mine (as well as several other owners) seems to have an issue with arcing. Also, the Athena is limited to just 18650 cells vs the Pulse which takes 18650s and 20700s.
The Pulse was my first unregulated squonk mod and I have had 0 issues with it. It's easy to clean, feels good in the hand and there are countless ways to change the way it looks. I can also attest to it's durability. I dropped it on asphalt from 3-4' and all that happened was a door popped off and the battery came out. Snapped it all back together and worked like a charm. Didn't even have a scratch. Some complain about voltage drop with the Pulse but I've never noticed anything.
I also encourage you to check out the Hugo Vapor Squeezer. I actually prefer it over the Pulse.
Hope this helps

This mod seems low mileage so it still needs pressure to unlatch it.
Time (and use) will tell.

Watched a review that left me thinking "another mass produced mech put out to compete with the Pulse". I didn't see any glaring flaws. Wasn't impressed with the atty it came with. Has a following on Brad's Facebook, but often they're "flavor of the month" types.
Yeah I didn't like the atty that comes in the kit . I saw them mod only online for 30 bucks. It is a little smaller than the Pulse and aluminum. It has a slide lock instead of a kill switch but internally looks about the same. If I was to get a kit it would be the Pulse hands down.

I was talking to the owner of another shop and he will only carry Pulse because of their reliability. If theres arcing issues with the Athena then I will pass. A little voltage drop I will deal with. I don't want any such issues with any mechanical. I do like the look of the Athena but asthetics are of little importance if it doesn't perform. I really like the atty that comes in the Pulse kit as well. Very helpful reply. Thanks!

Boden has won cloud comps with the 30ga radiator build.
Turbulence can increase cloud volume but it rarely makes the flavor better (with some exceptions). The more of your coil that gets hit with airflow the more crisp a flavor you get.
When I change cotton the darker parts on it usually coincide with spots experiencing turbulent airflow.

I could have gone down there and picked it up, Spent the day in Sedona and still beat it here. Which would have been nice because it is really windy here. Good day to stay inside and check obsessively the tracking on my nicotine. :)

Before we left for the fundraiser, I made another coil (in case the first one was a fluke )... 1.2 ohms on a 2.5 mm rod. Been vaping it all over day. Y’all are good teachers for such a slow, hardheaded student as I am. When I went to change my first coil, it looked like someone else’s (cough, cough no names), but the wick still looked clean. What did I do wrong?

So I snagged another Nano today, brings up to 9 and I can relax for now. I know a guy that has a stash of them if I get too paranoid again. So I need a dual coil rta. My requirements are 5ml, quiet af, prefer velocity or postless deck (no clamps), not prone to leaking/seepage. Thoughts...

You did nothing wrong except use commercial juice. Just gunk, dry burn and rewick when it tastes off.

Dual coil usually means more open draw. You could take a look at the icloudcig moradin

very affordable and good flavor. Not exactly a velocity deck, more like half velocity :D still not hard to build.
My brother bought one back in December and now he has 3 of them.
