Me too. When I was still at 6 months in I swore I'd never switch to rebuildables. Not a single stock coil tank in rotation right now. 4 rtas and 3 drippers. Pisser is I don't like to build.
Really? Building is something I really look forward to. I probably clean and rewick more often than I need to just because.

I remember the days where you had a choice between a Provari and a mech if you wanted quality. Then this new tangled thing called a dna 40 came out!
were the the Provaris the first to come out with adjustable wattage?

Good morning shiny people. Hope everyone had a better nights sleep than I did.
Build on the Castle this morning was very easy peasy. Changed out the stainless chimney for the acrylic and much less heat. A bit spitty after priming but hopefully calms down soon.

Mechs don't do so well with high resistance builds. There is math involved to get the wattage you want so you may have to build different resistance than you do now.
I've been thinking about getting the Berserker MTL rda and maybe using it with one of my mech squonk mods. Running it with a 1-1.2 ohm build wouldn't work well with a mech? I ran the #s in steam engine and it came out close to the wattage I'm at on my regulated mods.

All this reminiscing is getting me to throw a build in my Kayfun on my Opus Max DNA40

Which kayfun is that? I've got a Prime clone on it's way from China and was wondering if you had any advice for setting one up. I figure if I like it then I'll go ahead and get the real thing but I'm not going to drop $100+ only to find out it's not for me.

It's from DIY alright, just not DIY juice...

Nothing like nearly spitting my coffee out at 530 in the morning. Nice

Hey neighbor heard on the news up around Indy got several inches of the white stuff again the other day. How did you fare?
We got 7" here and I was all set to plow but it was so warm the day before that it melted on the blacktop. It looked like a blizzard on Saturday and it was all gone by Sunday afternoon. Now we're on to the monsoon season.

I don't know which was first. I think it was either the Provari or the Buzz Pro.

The oldest review I can find of the Provari is Feb. 2012.

The oldest review I can find of the Buzz Pro is Aug. 2011.

ProVari V2 - Buzz Pro LR Dual Coil Shoot Out - March 2012. It looks like they did things differently. So neither seemed to copy the other in design.

Ooh, ooh, ooh! I found a Provari video from Dec. 2010.

any advice for setting one up
2.5mm-3mm mandrel and 6-8 wraps of 28g-30g wire should be a good start. I use spaced coils and trap them from the outside, my wire goes around to the back of the screw and not between screw and post, keeps the wick away from the air inlet.

The problem is finding a case that will hold a DNA250(C), two 20700's and a squonk bottle. I've looked at various 3D printer files, but none of them really interest me.
Depending on how patient you are
squonk_0.3_alpha.png

this is my current iteration, fire button/board on the side opposed to 510 and bottle. I have back designs for both 75c and 250c, the 510 is designed for a varitube 30mm. I'm struggling a bit with getting print cost down (print all in one and separate the parts is my goal) and designing the battery compartment, might take a few months judging by my current speed of progress :D
Design might also change, I have 2 other designs in mind and am working on a 3rd. I'll release it to the public for free though once it's done.

Do these shiny guys ever sleep? I went back to have a look at what’s happened. Got back to around 4am and thought the guy was in Europe and an early riser.

Dude lives in Vegas. I think some people here buy things 24/7!

What have you encouraged @jfcooley
