Aroma is kind of the gold standard for WTA, and it's pricy. Umbavapes is lower, the quality is still decent. I don't know that it's a fair comparison though, since I used Aroma during the throes of quitting.
Apparently, WTA companies are saying you can use wholesale WTA to "replace" the nicotine one normally uses in DIY. I'd imagine you could use it like that, but I did not and did not feel that I would remotely be able to "afford" WTA if I used it in that fashion. I'd imagine you'd get "more" WTA per puff doing it that way, but I apparently need much less than that. I just added varying amounts (decreasing as I went) by adding a small amount of the wholesale WTA to my tank, and less than if I used it to DIY.
It does make sense to me that WTA companies "recommend" this, since doing it that way is more expensive (although, certainly one would end up with more alkaloids per puff). YMMV. So, you could experiment with using it as you "nic base" or not. I found no problems with just adding a bit to my preexisting liquids and etc. I'd guess doing it as suggested by the company could also be more precise.

@NolaMel Blow dryer is frustrating for me too trying to wrap batteries. I'm ordering this. It was recommended on another thread. Good enough as I have no other uses for a heat gun.

8 minutes is more than enough time to wrap a battery. I simply don't need a heat gun for anything else. I can use that extra $8 for wire or batteries.

I'm guessing if it had a temperature sensor it would have a poti for regulation and would be more expensive.
