The machining on my dreamer is way better than the cheaper ones I have. And it isn't high end by any means at around 100 bucks.
I'd put 100+ in expensive circle. While not the $300+ area still pricy...ish.
Both of mine are $120-150. I don't consider the high end, but not low end either.
Design, safety, materials, workmanship, precision machining, QA. Chip based mods tend to be mass produced with the idea that the chip will compensate for lapses in quality making the devices disposable. If mechs were built with the same regard, the company would be shipping pipe bombs across the country and quickly be held accountable at the industry and most likely legal level.

I was trying to get SideSync to let me share stuff between the laptop, S6 and new tablet and had to tinker with the router settings to let everyone talk to each other. Found the guest SSID option and changed the name.

It looks like your question has been answered. I want to add that 22mm authentic mechanicals that used to sell for up to $200 can be found online for as cheap as $20 now if you look hard enough. If you don't mind the smaller diameter you can get a high quality authentic for the same price as its clone.
