I saw this off the grid documentary and these folks had watermills in their stream with alternators attached and a lot of car batteries. They had power converters on those and made enough to power their little house 24 hours a day.

Sounds like the show I watched on Discovery Channel a few years back it only had two seasons due to someone getting killed during the filming of the 3rd

I LOVE ENGLAND!! Lol, have visited often.

But, that means getting a passport, something that is almost impossible in Tucson. I know, I need to get one blah blah, but it really does necessitate going to "the" post office that does it, and hanging around all day to just "get" an appointment at a future date, LOL. Believe me, I have tried, many times, to call the "number" for an appointment, but it just goes straight to voicemail, along with NO voicemailbox.

I'd almost be better off going to Phoenix to renew my Aus one at the Embassy (plus, you get less grief traveling that way), but I am missing some key pieces of information I would then have to find, given that since my last one expired, I got married and changed my name and etc. It's actually my (German) birth certificate I'm going to have trouble with... I think Social Security may have a copy of it, and my mom always refused to give me the original stating I would "lose" it, which I think was unfair.... Although, I did once let my green card (the whole thing) lapse, along with my DL AND my passport and couldn't renew ANYTHING at all due to missing something else and etc. It was during AZ's "have all your stuff to hand," so I was a bit panicky and my mom had to help... .Maybe she was basing it on that?

In all fairness, when the date to renew is "20 years plus" away, well it's not something I kept a close eye on...................

I am starting to think that I shouldn't be "in charge" of the arrangements. Help, maybe. But "in charge" that's a bit optimistic.... :D

Wish we had decided this earlier. My Jac just shipped from Scotland. I could have just picked it up
Also, apparently we need a medical disclaimer for the trip... those with latex allergies, please notify Anna so she can make sure you’re on the opposite end of the castle. Armor and crowns are optional. Everyone is responsible providing for their own basic vaping gear. Please let us know if you can lift more than 500 pounds, as we need someone to raise the moat doors.

Randy can take care of the heavy lifting for us when he gets back from vacation.

We are bringing our dogs too aren't we? Maybe we can get a vet to hitch a ride for free juice and entertainment.
