Oh man... I feel so bad for the husband, he does very POORLY with gastric distress. It's like the only time (usually) that he behaves like a little girl, and his family were "isolationists" when it came to illness, so he was usually recommending that the kid be placed in his room where he couldn't "infect" others while being oddly funnily "excitable" about my presence (unless it was puking) leading me to state, "So I can't cuddle my kid when he's ill but YOU want me to act like a porn star since you have a cold... What logic is this?" so he knocked it off.

If only I had known porn stars could cure colds I would have been so much happier when I was sick. I will add it to my bucket list for my next cold, which hopefully I catch real soon.

Hahahaha... Eskie, it's a distraction as the patient is getting better. Believe me, I have pondered the matter, and decided that offering porn star behavior to the patient (HUSBAND ONLY) (and exposing myself to all those GERMS) is sometimes worth it, if only he'll pass out for a while and stop whining. LOL

It only works on colds, apparently. If it's a stomach flu, he needs to be coddled and sympathized with UNLIKE his mom ever did. LOL, last night the husband told me "You were the nicest human being on the planet today, you were SO nice, you must've been inhabiting an angel."

LOL, he did get me other presents (pajamas and a new robe, YESSS) but that was the nicest present I could get after dragging my weary carcass home from dropping off the kid. LOL.

That's why you have to marry the RIGHT kind of wife. LOL.

By "porn star" I just mean WILLING to do it, not some special "hire a pal situation." It's more like... "Yes, I will RELUCTANTLY pretend to enjoy this so that the husband passes out." I mean.... people with colds are pretty gross.... But sometimes he gets so ill-tempered, it's just worth it....

ALTHOUGH I think I will pat myself on the back for heading out for saltines, Gatorade and ginger ale and other hydration methods. He hasn't puked again but he's this awful shade of ashen.

There are only certain things the husband can cook, and steak isn't always one of them. SO glad the kid and I were doing lamb for Christmas eve and ham for Christmas day.

But man, I owe the dude for taking care of me during all my oral surgeries so I am doing my best.

Does a "shower massage" work for a cold too?!?

My SIL is an RN and last year i got her a massage chair and this year i got her massage booties and I hit up sales today and got her a neck massager thingy for next year (I hit after Christmas sales for the following Christmas gifts because I'm a tightwad)

I'm figuring after next year I'm out of stuff to vibrate her to death with...

Good thought on the shower massager though. .. might look for some sales.. deep thoughts!
