Just keep some sandpaper around for the arcing.

that or apply some no-ox-id to the contacts. I read about it on another thread and (hope I don't jinx myself) have not had any arcing issues since. I am truly amazed at how well that stuff works. I've started using it on all the contacts on all of my mech squonkers and it really does a great job of preventing corrosion and the need to clean contacts.

I get why Jay is hesitant to start down the diy path, he has young children and may not have room for a separate small locked freezer/fridge. They do make handy end tables tho.
