Not much of a story. Blew up is an overstatement. No real property damage.
Well, it was repairable. 1 desk, ceiling, beakers and a bunson burner + hose needed replacement. Recharge fire extinguisher and change of underwear.

Honestly, I don't think diy is for everyone... Kinda reminiscent of chemistry lab; I'm only really interested because it's like a combination of cooking and pharmacology class.

For me the only way diy resembles cooking is coming up with recipes, not mixing them. Mixing is just getting from point A to point D.
