Well my weekend blew......
Worked most of it, didn't get home till almost midnite last nite.
Took off today and forgot my go bag lol.
Got about half hour from home and realized I didn't have extra batts etc..
Ok I'll live got my drone and my pulse.
Well the the drone up and died, won't even power on. Then u hit the pulse so much it got weak. Grrrrr.
2 things here, I need to get a charger for my van and surgically attach my vape bag to my side.
Well gotta dig my drone backup out.

On the upside (sorta) guess I get to start searching for a new regulated squonk backup. If the cost wasn't so high everything I've seen on the boxer dna250c is good......
Open her up...

Arm yourself with www.snopes.com

Even when evidence proves them wrong they continue to fight.

To me this is amusing.
I've always said there should be a simple test that people can take to find out if they're idiots. Something that they can go to CVS and pick up. They take it home, lick a piece of paper and if it turns red then they know. The world would be a better place if there was a way to make the idiots believe what the rest of us already know.

Some of them say snopes is biased and "left wing".
And that was addressed today on....snopes.

Of course when proven wrong the new thing to do is call fake news. A generation that was given awards for showing up now doesn't believe anything that may contradict them....who would have thunk it?

Add an enabling government....what could possibly go wrong?

We ran a pair of C64 bulletin boards back in the day, single line 1200 baud Hayes modems as there was no consumer internet way back in the early 80's.

Steve Punter's BBS64 on a C64 with an 8250 dual floppy.

And a Dark Star system on a C64 with a CBM D9090 7MB HD. :D

I started my single node system on Packard Bell 286 with 1mb RAM and a 20MB hard drive. The modem was Hayes 2400 with the modem circuitry in the wall plug.

I used Telegard, a pirated version of the WWIV source code. My wife was preggers with our first child (who turns 27 in October).

By the time I pulled the plug on Cybernautics BBS in 1996, I had three dial in nodes on a rollover line, four CD-ROM drives and two 400MB IDE drives. Three Intel 28800 modems with processors that were as powerful as the CPU in the old PacBell.

Two nodes ran on 486 boxes I built myself and the third ran on a 486sx.

What made me hang up my SysOp hat was Doom Deathmatches and dialup internet at 56kbps.

I still play Doom every now and then...

Bad news: Friend I talked into "upgrading" his Pico to a Squasp™ doesn't like squonking. (hu...., @jfcooley)

Good news: He's letting me have it at his cost so $30 for another Squasp™ !

Great news: It's a white Squeeze with a white Wasp, and I have another set of Bama vinyl stickers. Two Bama Picos. Hurr. :D

I don’t worry about politics on Facebook because everyone that disagrees unfollows, unfriends, or blocks me; trash takes it’self out. Depending on the week, typically 5 people leave, still maintain over 1000.

Years ago, when I was younger, I managed a Dominoes store in Harrisonburg VA.

We we're the campus store, only had that part of town half the year. The other half we would take turns covering the "townie" side as well.

Drunk students were always mentally challenged. However townies usually went abouve and beyond.

We launched Buffalo wings one year. With new products there is always a bit of education and a learning curve for both customer and employee. I had my hills to climb, but one night in particular I received a call that I will never forget.

After answering the phone and going into specials, address etc, this was what went down:

Me "Would you like to try our new Buffalo wings"

Just "Are they really Buffalo?"

Me "No, they're chicken"

Cust "You just call them Buffalo because they so hot."

Me "Excuse me, huh?"

Cust "They Buffalo, cause they hot. Are they big? Buffalo's big"

Me "Mam, they're not buffalo, they're chicken wings"

Cust "Chicken ain't hot, they's Buffalo cause they're hot".

Me "No, they're chicken and we put buffalo sauce on them" (hindsight always proved this a poor choice of words)

Cust "So you put sauce made from Buffalo's on them cause Buffalo's hot"

Me, exaperated and 3 lines in hold "Yes, we grind them daily"

Cust "I"ll take 2"

That customer ordered every week from then on. I initially suspected they were playing but the sincerity in her voice told me the deck wasn't full, and by taking the low road I saved myself hours of "Who's on First" conversational aggravation.

I worked retail in an appliance store.

There was a demo dishwasher set up with a plexiglass sheet covering where the door should be.
Inside the dishwasher was a light so people could see the dishwasher operate.

I cannot tell you how many people asked me, "can I get one with a light like that?"
