No one plays scrabble with me anymore and I think all the games were hidden/lost/given away during the fire. LOL. I don't mind a nice game of Mah Jong either.
Poor losers need more practice at losing.

My family took the scrabble board to goodwill. I. Was.Not.Happy. But, nor was I willing to compromise my unbending standards concerning not "dumbing down."
Like, I'm sorry if I beat you at scrabble, you should PRACTICE is my opinion.
Society would probably offer up the "Ungame" which is a therapeutic game with a circle 8 board game with just cards you draw to quietly "learn to get to know each other better." My mom got one for my older brother but he refused to play after my merciless taunts of "What is this? Some game where everybody wins? How is that actually a game and etc.?"
To be fair I was a brat as a teenager but I still don't find much use for the "Ungame." But maybe they'd let you play THAT at the lake house, LOL. I've "played" it and it's deeply, deeply boring.
Everybody only "wins" because it eventually "ends". And by that, you don't actually ARRIVE anywhere, you just have memorized all the cards and their answers and etc.

The kids banned me from the scrabble games at the lake.
