no pics of shiny stuff today but some pics of something else that took my money and makes me happy. Yard work paid for and finished and new wall in place so I do not have to listen to the neighbors building their cars and stuff. These darn Birds of Paradise were so overgrown and hard to manage. I tried, seriously, I did. you can see my efforts in the middle picture. Finally just caved and hired someone. Wish I could say it was tax refund money but since I had to pay (again) no such luck. It is money well spent and makes me almost as excited as getting great vape gear. Maybe even more ?View attachment 743587 View attachment 743589 View attachment 743591

Good for you! I’ve been hiring a gardener spring and fall to clean up. Used to be really enthusiastic, and able to do the work. Not so much anymore. I have a wall of zebra grass that gets about 8-9’ high. There’s no way I can take that down and get it to the dump.

This crew comes and cuts that down, sprays the poison ivy, weeds the 1000 sq ft of flower beds, then all I have to do is haul the debris away. Which is a big enough job,30 bags or so. Takes me four trips. But otherwise I’d be at it all summer, picking away.

If I could find someone to mow, I’d pay for that too.

Last night, I went to fill up and found I was completely out of blueberry coconut juice. 60 mls, I mixed up last week, gone! Glad I made some base too, I just grabbed a 120 ml bottle and flavored it lol. Also glad I bought more flavors.

60 is a lot for me by itself, but that’s on top of 30 mls of peach and at least 30 vanilla mint. No wonder I can’t see out my windows!

Good morning shiners! I've been awol planning my escape / discharge / transfer from the hospital this week. All is well. Mods are working and tanks are not leaking, so I guess that covers the really important stuff.

I'll play catch up once things settle, but for now freedom is imminent and I'm making sure I remain on good behavior so my parole isn't canceled.

I couldn’t get my dog to sit still long enough to attempt sunglasses, let alone the rest. #1 put a doggie tshirt on him ONCE, lasted maybe a minute before he shredded it. In his defense, it did say “stud muffin”.

My girl is wasn’t thrilled, until she realized she wasn’t freezing. After a while she’d bring me her sweater when I asked if she wanted to go out.

Thought about. Prayed about it. Talked about it.

I'm retiring.

If 40 years was long enough for the Israelites to wander in the desert, it's long enough for one man to work.

Now all I have to do is keep the boredom at bay.

Good morning gang...
Mail FINALLY arrived at 7:00pm.. happened to be curbside when she pulled up and asked "why so late" She stated that it was a busy mail day and the regular driver had hit her 8 hour shift and since they don't allow overtime..she was called in to finish the other driver's route..SMH:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

Amazing. That's just what I was thinking about doing. I owe a lot to this community.

Good morning shiny folks! Grrr. I slept horribly. I swear coming off steroids is just as bad as taking them. I had high expectations of feeling "awesome" enough to boric acid the house. Unless the coffee and etc. kicks in quickly, I doubt that will remain my goal. We'll see.

My dad emailed back. It was pleasant.. Amazing how age can mellow you (talking about both of us, I think). LOL.

I have more shiny stuff coming but I'm not sure what. I guess I will be finding out-- soon. LOL.

But no desire to buy more, fortunately. I really need to remember the bills and etc.

My driving/car thing grows ever more complicated. LOL. I should not have asked my mom "questions" about it, that's always how it goes. :)

Oh well, after no travel (other the the "Fire tour de Tucson really obnoxious places to live, all over Tucson" I guess I will be traveling a bit. I think I'm ready.

Oh, do I ever hate bad nights of sleep. I woke up at 3 am in a cold sweat, went back to sleep, without vaping even, but it didn't really help.

LOL.

Tucson's great to visit. My visit here was what was convinced me in part to move (it was December though, and etc.) I kind of feel like Tucson's going through this "stage." Or maybe it's just the fact that I've been here long enough to notice the changes. Also, being in this kind of heat can be hard on infrastructure, and our current city government is a bit corrupt, to put it lightly. A lot of money designated toward say, roads, kind of vanishes.

But it's kind of like anywhere, you get in the habit of having done things so much, you don't do them again etc. unless you have visitors. I have been doing some of that stuff with the kid, mainly to help him have "fond" memories here, but man I have visited Tubac/Tombstone/etc. elleventy jillion times, etc.

I want a Frenchie, but a good one around here is about $2500 to $3000. :(
And up. But, she’s totally worth it. She was/is exactly what I needed. I’ve had all sorts of dogs, breeds and mutts, mostly adopted/ rescues. I’ve never seen one like a Frenchie. Easiest dog ever to train, completely baby safe. She just seems to empathize with everything and everyone and knows how to get along. Plus she’s hilarious.
