My daughter was easy, always worked, paid her bills. We loaned her money and bought her first car, and she paid us back a bit every pay day. She got her own place and has been self reliant since she was 18.

We have a great relationship. She asked me, why other girls her age complain about their moms, moms who micro manage and nit-pick everything.

I looked around her apartment and said, you don’t need me to run your life. You’re doing just fine!

Her bills are paid, she keeps herself nice, place is clean and tidy, and she’s never in trouble. Ever. What more could a mother want?

My son is a whole different story. He’s the older of the two but he acts like a spoiled 12 year old. He moved out and back more times than I can count. Finally my husband took him aside and said...

Fine. But you need to know, that your mother and I have lived to care for you since you were born. We sacrificed, put our needs last, but now it’s our time. We need to, and deserve to, have some “us” time. So we’re getting pig masks and a 12” strap on. Gonna use them in the dining room. I mean, why else would we have gotten a table like that? It’ll hold us, easy, big enough to dance on. So if you hear oinking, you might want to not come downstairs.

And poof, the boy was gone.

Morning shiny folks I feel human today. I can't even begin to say how great it is. Haven't woken up yet, but can still identify that odd feeling of "humanness."

I even forgot to go to the mail yesterday I will once I wake up. The husband was super nice about my whiny mess though that was nice.

Chores have stacked up, ugh. Gotta get busy my mom gets here soon, don't want her to call me a "house ...." (she was using the elderly form of the word, messy, not you know, the real definition) but still I hate it LOL.

MAN, I HATE my new mail carrier so MUCH. JFC must have won in the movie. I got a "delivery attempt failed" message today. Although I did not GET my mail yesterday, I did get a message "Delivery attempt failed, no secure location." I was here (morose, but awake the ENTIRE day. The postman did not even ATTEMPT to leave my package and I bet it was my Nic River stuff, too. Grrr.

In the hopes of behavioral "shaping" as it were (I mean, due to labyrinth he possibly might think we are SATANISTS or something, but MAN. So I scheduled it to "redeliver" stating "Leave it on the front porch," as I know I will be home TOMORROW. So, the mailman better drive into our yard and I am going to "Greet" him and discuss my mail needs. LOL.

Sounds like a good way to get a package completely lost but COME ON NOW. :(

The ammit and I have reached an understanding apparently. Awoke to no leaks, slight gurgle....but I can put up with that until we learn to totally get along. Sxk doggy gets here today (supposedly), so I’ll have a new battle this afternoon. Headache is gone, so I will video it before building. Promise!!! Thank you all for biting your tongues and being patient yesterday. I’m not the best human when I get a migraine, so, sorry and thank you.

Good morning shiners! Heavy fog here but as I don't have to drive in it I can just appreciate the cool effect of not being able to see 100 ft out the window.

Got some good news for myself. They're finally letting me out of here. Almost six months of this stuff. I'm almost back to 100% but still need more physical therapy. I'll be stuck in an assisted living type place to continue the physical therapy, but it beats being in this hospital. It also means I won't be limited to stealth vaping in the bathroom.
In the bathroom? I kept my pv with me and used it from the ER until I got out days later. I just blew the vapor into the blankets.:)

And so it begins...

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

1. A broad surface low centered near the coast of northeastern Belize
continues to produce a large area of cloudiness and showers
extending from the northwestern Caribbean Sea across Cuba and into
the Florida Straits. Little development is expected during the
next couple of days due to strong upper-level winds and proximity to
the Yucatan Peninsula. However, environmental conditions are then
forecast to become more conducive for development, and a subtropical
or tropical depression could form this weekend over the eastern or
central Gulf of Mexico. Regardless of development, locally heavy
rainfall is possible across western Cuba and the Cayman Islands
during the next few days, and over much of Florida and the
northern Gulf Coast during the weekend. For more information on the
heavy rain threat, please see products issued by your local weather
office. The next Special Tropical Weather Outlook on this system
will be issued by 800 PM EDT.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...60 percent.

Of course, because guess where I’ll be starting Saturday.... destin . We were at The Grand for hurricane Danny, so I guess it’s appropriate. Should tell me something when family reunions draw storms

I know you’re going to say pico squeeze, but I like the size, shape of the wasp. But, Memorial Day hasn’t gotten here yet, so I have time to look ;)
Labor Day, darlin. Labor Day.

You have all summer to "look."

But it was about you using temperature control (Replay on a DNA250C counts) and/or an exotic coil build.

I'm back to human, so I want to BUY something! Well, obviously.

LOL, this thing looks really neat, but I remain clueless as to how it works? Can someone explain it to me, please? I don't understand the disc, and does one build one's own coils or WHAT? I just think it LOOKS awesome and MTL-y, but I don't understand it even a little bit?
