I stayed in Nashville and Knoxville Not quite as bad. Actually the friendliest people in Nashville, aside from the gangs. An off duty cop shot and killed two guys in the hotel right next to ours, the one we were supposed to have been at. We saw it on tv and watched the aftermath out the window.
Went to nyc when the kids were little. I warned hubby, whatever you do, stay out of China town. So first thing he did was take a wrong turn. We were stuck in gridlock, sirens kicked up all over, I told the kids don’t make eye contact, roll up the windows and lock the doors. Two cars ahead, a bunch of guys went running across the tops of cars trying to get away from the police. No gun fire thankfully, but still kind of scary. It was the highlight of the kids’s trip though!
you'll never know how hard they are...hopefully.Mine is spending memorial weekend in Chicago. Probably out partying, whooping it up with some other vaper. Long distance relationships are so hard...
The Denon does a good job. Just irritates me. It's on demand so you'd think it'd be in 5.1.Or when it is broadcast in surround, it's so compressed it makes your several thousand dollar B&O system sound like a KLH soundbar......![]()

Not a scary story, but the family and I went on one of our jaunts to Key West, and had reservations to go parasailing, jet skiing, SNUBA diving, etc. the next morning.
While the wife and I were in bed at the condo watching the nightly news, a story comes on about a father and daughter who were parasailing not too far from us and had gotten caught in that early evening's storm.
The wind was so strong they couldn't reel them in and it started dragging the boat so they had to cut them free.
They floated inland and smacked the side of a building slid down the side of it and landed.
Luckily neither of them was hurt aside from bumps and bruises.
Needless to say, we didn't mention it to the kids until AFTER we had finished parasailing, lol.
We'll everything is set up. Sub crawl was easy enough, Atmos upfiring is set, rears good, front I'm still toying with levels.
The Motion actually blends very well with the MartinLogans. Timbre may be important to some but I still maintain you needn't be overly concerned. Then again, a lot of those same people swear by $1500 speaker cables and $5000 power cords.

Just order a thick gauge cable from FT & rewrap, but plated connectors on it. Invest about, $10 and resell for thousands. For me, it's mostly my CDO more than timbre matching.
Wasn't that long ago I could hear every nuance.
I still do exceptionally well, but years of exposure to some fairly loud noises have definitely taken their toll.
I like my line conditioner, but $5000? Geez.
If it sounds great to you, then who gives a sh#t what anyone else says.
When they finally pull the plug on me, each of my kids has a job.
One is to stay with their mother, one is to make notifications, and the other is to go home and turn off my tube amps.
Send those guys who want $1500 speaker cables my way, I'll sell them some half price.![]()

Really want to get their goat, show them how well a coat hanger (metal of course) works. Wait until they pay you first.

Don't forget the risers for your cables, and the aquarium rocks to tape to your interconnects.I remember when everyone was going gonzo over the braided Kimber Cable, lol.![]()
