All of the finishes on the Minikin V2s hold up extremely well. The rubbery finish has a name, which I have forgotten of course. It is tough and I love the way it feels in my hand. I have two chrome ones - the Gold Grit and a hot pink. Most of their chrome finishes are overcoated - again there is a name for it that escapes me at the moment. These finishes are also wonderful. At one time, the chrome finishes were fingerprint prone but this new overcoat they are using solves that problem. The only one of mine that has suffered any damage is the rubbery purple. I dropped it onto an asphalt driveway from about chest height and it rolled around. Amazingly, it only has a couple of dings that only I notice. I love it so much that I bought a replacement that is still in the box. My rubbery black one doesn't have a mark on. I am impressed with the way Asmodus finishes their mods.
Can you tell I am a BIG fan?
I think that Asmodus might be phasing the Minikin V2 out with the Lustro taking its place. I love, love, love my Minikin V2 collection but am looking forward to a Lustro. The colors I am interested in are all on preorder, so I will wait. I am good for now.
