Good morning shiny folks, my wismec armor prime and panther win arrived today.. I'm vaping it but I'm a little nervous. Got a proteon on the way and psyched about that. I'm getting wishy washy on the Jac until I find work. LOL. Just waking up (this is GOOD).

OMG, the wild, wild world of nannying in AZ. I signed up for a nanny board I was like, well couldn't HURT.

LOL, this one lady (I thought she was kinda nuts, but 6 month old TWINS, too cute.) Well, she sent the employment contract ahead of time of my "interview", I am SO GLAD she did. I was like, "Meh, well if the kiddo's are nice, I don't MIND accepting minimum wage slightly less, ONLY she wanted to pay me as a contractor it would have been like, FOUR bucks an hour. LOL. They both work at some courthouse I pointed out that was kinda…. far beyond ILLEGAL. But no cash, I guess they want to DEDUCT on their taxes for CHILDCARE. Um, I'm not even.... No.

EVEN better were the contract terms. Man, I get it's your babies, but NO I will not "consent to being recorded at all times except in the BATHROOM." That just.... I'm sorry, if you don't get a good vibe off me, don't hire me. I mean, if you meet me and we don't click but for goodness sake, I'm a SW, I probably have a higher fingerprint clearance than THAT lady. I was like, If that's the kind of control freak behavior desired, well, I'm sorry, but I can SEE that working for you would be a catastrophe in motion. Although, I guess wanting to pay someone 275 a week as a CONTRACTOR well I might be hesitant of anyone applying too. They also had odd rules like, "You can kiss the babies on the forehead or hand, but not the face." IDK if it was a germs thing, but geez, babies shove their hands in their mouths all the TIME. So I'm afraid I assumed that it was some odd "bonding" thing or whatnot, which is INSANE. You want someone to watch your kids full time, well, guess what, that person will be loved by your kiddos regardless. That is how it WORKS.

I feel sorry for the illegal person here who winds up working for that person. Not all of them are like that (I don't think) OMG though. LOL. I'm afraid I rapidly emailed back, "Look, I'm sorry, that pay scale would not be worth my TIME let alone the gas to drive over there. Also, I have a high security clearance an NO I will not allow you to videotape me ever.

Well, some of the other jobs look more reasonable and the nanny board wants me to come in and interview to be a respite caregiver they like my qualifications and who WOULDN'T honestly I gave them the best phone interview of all time.

I am still hoping for those SW jobs, though. :)

what do you guys do with wonky/broken mods? I have been 'saving' them in case I ever wanted to build one from their parts.......or even better give them to someone who would like to use their parts. I am getting near the mood to just toss them in the trash.

kangertech products mostly,, but there is at least 1 Pico,, maybe 2

I throw them away. Time is money, and it would cost more in time, with likely failure, than just buying another. Plus, so many shinies!

Good morning Anna! I heard the Jax is coming out with a 75C so maybe it’s better off I you wait to purchase one. I like the look & reputation of those mods but for some reason I’ve haven’t felt a strong desire to buy one. Lol! But I’m sure I will at some point lol!

Sounds like you may have a averted a bizarre situation with the nanny job. I thought I had “issues” o_O but those “rules” are a bit over the top imo. But then I don’t have human kids so who knows. I’m a bit nervous with my fur kids  so maybe I’d be just a “protective”?

Respite care is very rewarding although it can be emotionally difficult. Well for me anyways. I was a hospice volunteer for a short while. I was there to give the caregiver some much needed time to themselves. Unfortunately it brought up too many emotions from both my parents passing and at the time my biological mother died too. So I was a bit overwhelmed. But I’ve been thinking about signing on again. Getting paid would be wonderful but I’m on disability so I can’t earn more than a certain amount. Plus my case is under a review. This is the 2nd in 6 years. I guess that’s normal but I’m nervous as all hell.

Congratulations on ANOTHER mod win lol! Is it a mech is that why you’re a bit nervous with it?

Good luck with the job search!! Sara

that's true,, I think part of my problem is 'I like to create/mess' with stuff,, I have full confidence in my ability to create a mod out of the parts,, but lacking interest,, and I need interest in order to do a good job,, other wise it is a waste of my time as well as getting all ticked off at myself lol.

been expanding my journey further into minimalism,,, this month is the 30 day challenge,, day 1 get rid of 1 thing, day 2 get rid of 2 things,,,, and so on,, at the end of 30 days you relieve yourself of 465 things.......(the junk drawer really helps on the count lol) ..... but I am starting to struggle because I have been getting rid of stuff pretty often. If I had my way,, we would only what fits in my car with plenty of room to spare. I have been 'eyeballing' the dishes,, we dont need 8 dishes, bowls, glasses........trying to convince my husband that 4 of each is plenty...... he is NOT on board :)

Heartland has 15% off ( flavors and nic pg and vg) code Fathers18

AVS 25% off sitewide with Dad25.

Elementvape $15 off $100 with DAD15, $35 off $200 with dad35

I am thinking the July 4th sales will be better than the Father's Day sales. That said, I did place one order so far this week with MVS. I ordered the new Joyetech Riftcore atty and a pod system, so got $10.00 off my total order with the code Dad10.

I love getting rid of stuff, but only stuff I won’t use. I’ve been on a kick lately, donating clothes. For every shirt or pair of jeans that come into this house, at least three go out lol.

Good morning Shynies! 2 new flavors arrived - loranns cream cheese icing and sweet tangerine. I just had a mixing session yesterday so I’ll wait on using these two for now.

No other shynies expected today. I hate that feeling  !!
LA CCI needs a long steep, maybe mix a tester now that you can add to other mixes to see if it works for you.

@stols001

I’d be terrified if I had babies who needed a nanny these days. I was lucky, my mom lives in town and watched my kids. Or even back then I’d have been too paranoid to leave them.

Likewise, I wouldn’t want to watch anyone’s kids these days either. Anything can happen with little kids. I wouldn’t allow myself to be under surveillance, but I also wouldn’t want to be blamed for whatever.

my husband asked me ,, if I had a garage sale,,,, how much money would I have... I thought about it,, over the past 5 years of downsizing 'stuff' would be an easy $10,000. I have given everything away,, to friends or goodwill type places. its embarrassing to think about because it represents wasted money. at 1 point i had 40 pairs of levi's with the tags on top of all the other brands I owned! my clothes are almost done sorting out.. I got a 'packing cube' that slides under the bed (6x14x24 (or something like that) that now hold all of my winter nice clothes including 3 pairs of jeans with room to spare. my summer nice clothes pretty much fit in my night stand. I was aiming for everything to fit in a backpack. (I need to thin back just a tiny bit more to make all of my clothes fit into that packing cube). my husband has a full 9 drawer dresser and a huge armoire ,,, I am trying to slowly get rid of his dresser. he has no interest in minimalizing. we live in a condo,, so the bedroom closet just stores his tools.

I hope you have a lot of extra clothes to give away. Otherwise, you may soon end up naked except for one single shirt!
Read on another thread Flavorah at BCF has 20% off code, flv20.
Really good if you want Flavorah. They're SO expensive!

I'm still getting my flavoring order ready. I have too many flavorings on my list. I can't afford them all.

But, I did give in and make my Element Vape purchase: a purple Minikin 2. It's just so cute!

Wow!

But, in Texas we don't need any winter clothes. Well, maybe 2 pairs of long pants and a light jacket.
