I just had a package sent by FedEx from 3 miles away in NYC get routed through Memphis before heading back out for delivery.

On another topic MVS is making things right on my busted Proton. I already have the mailing label and WI be sending it off for replacement. Hope it gets there in under two weeks. They are in an adjacent zip code. No way they'll just carry it across the street.

Yeah, I have a lot of packages that go from Texas to Memphis, and then back to Oklahoma.
Memphis must have a barcode magnet on the roof.
Sad part is UPS and FedEx both have one of their larger hubs here by Tulsa Intnl. Airport and yet things always seem to go to Memphis first.

Glad you're getting your Proton sorted though.

Oh then NolaMel got sorta the right answer. I was loosing track of who was where. They used to have a feature here I wish they'd bring back. Your location was above your avatar so when you tried to help you knew someone was 8,000 miles away before recommending vendors and all.

That UPS handoff was a way to throw a bone for corporate image that you weren't dumping all over the USPS. Amazon talks about how they're supporting the postal service by relying on them for the actual delivery. Bottom line is everyone knows that's BS but some PR firm told them if would make them seem warmer and fuzzier while driving thousands of small shops out of business.

IMO it doesn't do anything for them although they probably got a good deal on it and lowered their delivery cost by $0.02. Which on a billion packages adds up real fast.

The Proton was a little disappointing but I'm happy to have it replaced. innokin did a good job on the screen and menu system, as well as having actual functioning temp control all in a nice size. If a second one goes belly up my opinion of innokin will be updated to reflect that.

I guess the world is either just f**king with me today, or my higher power has determined I have spent enough. Didn’t matter whether I was home on the iPad (wifi), or out on my phone (cell), sites were either slow or just had the spinning wheel of death. End result, no shiny anything today, and missing ingredients for what I wanted to make tomorrow (requires prep today). . Vent over. Someone post a pretty shiny so I feel better please
