my only problem is that, its really pricey, as everywhere i can find it, its 40+ dollars USD + a Ridiculous shipping charge.... sigh...
I have heard a lot of good things about the Drop Dead. It looks like it should be a great choice for a starter rda. I love building on that type. Honestly for the price I think that's your best bet.

Well my DR rta landed in SS. Swapped the slotted head screws out for the hex before even giving it a bath. Building was easy peasy. No idea why the hell they ever thought to use those slotted screws. Still need to remember to leave my tails long enough to reach the juice wells, but otherwise headache free. Put the black in place of the white DT on it for a little more matchy matchy.

Evening all,

It is raining in Cumbria. Cat No 2 just walked in and dripped [literally] over the dining room table, my coil kit and is now demanding attention [in other words stroke me and help me dry off quicker].

Pre-built coil in my Cleito is beginning to taste like a pair of mouldy socks in a heatwave. Stripped it down, and after 6 weeks of use at 50% this is what it looks like:

Decided to try out the rebuildable deck with 3mm 7 turn 26 gauge twisted pair kanthal A1. 8T at 3.5mm is a bit high ohm wise, hopefully that will get the coils a bit closer to sub-ohm levels.

Daren't raise this with Mrs OG yet, my birthday is still a bit off. Was hoping to pre-empt this with a personal sneaky shiny resupply, but some money that was due to me has been delayed. Looks like I'm going to have to wait for a while :(.

Pretty good to get 6 weeks out of it. The most I've gotten with a drop in coil was maybe 4 weeks with a very lightly used Smok baby coil and now a four week run out of a Freemax dual mesh which had pretty heavy use. I was really impressed how well it held up given I must have vaped close to 80-100 ml through it.

The Nudge 22 is waaay better for flavor than the Recurve imho and very easy to build on. Very reasonable price too.

Also the Enthion clone has fantastic flavor. Can be has cheaply on FT.

The Recurve has been disappointing to me. It’s good but not like FANTASTIC. I’d take either of the above any day than the Recurve.

Just my :2c:

As I said, lightly used. The newer mesh coils on the market are surprisingly good, like the Horizon Falcon and Freemax mesh pro. Not hearing good things on the Smok offerings on mesh and have no personal experience to comment. But there are times it's nice to have a simple drop in coil atty you can vape without feeling it's a huge compromise for the simplicity.

Like I said. Can't beat it

That is a nice RDA at that price point. They've been on a solid roll with their rabbit stuff. Now with the RTA option for us stuck in the RTA mud fans. It's hard to to wrong with any of the RDAs already thrown out here. They'll all give you a decent vape. And you don't have to build with huge coils to still get good flavor. Sometimes simpler ends up better.

the mesh prebuilts from smok are HORRENDOUS imo. no flavor, and huge (BUT DRY AF) clouds, i tried every watt setting between and outside of recommended, its really only the mesh for the TFV12 Boeing 747 that are any good. and yeah i usually get anywhere between 2300 and 3000 puffs off a drop in dual coil

Pretty good to get 6 weeks out of it.

I think in reality I probably closer to 5, the last week the flavour has been deteriorating somewhat. I thought it was just me, but last night I took a really big lungful and it didn't taste too good at all.

I'm NOT a happy rabbit though. The Cleito 120 rebuildable deck I purchased won't allow the standard TPD compliant glass to pass the shoulder of the inner chimney. Found this out after stripping down my tanks, and rebuilding everything. Luckily, I've got 1 spare commercial coil left, but I feel cheated.

Thanks EU lawmakers for nothing ...

Well that sucks. Any chance of ordering a proper sized replacement glass from somewhere like FT? Yes, it'll take a whike to arrive, but at least the RBA won't go to waste.

Heard somebody made a rice dish in China today. What a coincidence

But this special Cumbrian rain we are talking about, it doesn't come down vertically but travels horizontally .

That's the plan. Despite the longevity of the Aspire coils, I'm definitely going down the rebuildable tank route, even if it means ditching the Cleito.

hes an idiot though hence why im not asking him anything LOL

There are idiot savant coilbuilders honestly. So, you might try asking him he may shock you, I mean... He's doing something right.

I am not an idiot savant at coilbuilding, or anything really just your garden variety idiot. But even if your friend says, "Oh hahah I have no idea I went to X vape shop and this dude named "Greg" helped me," well useful vape shop personnel are very, very valuable to acquire so you just never know. LOL.
