It's not that they're flashlight batteries, it's that most are protected and batteries that work well for flashlights are high mAh low CDR. The high CDR simply isn't needed for modern LED lights.
I switched to 18650 lights because CR123a batteries aren't cheap and I can vharge e cig batteries and flashlight batteries in same charger.
I’ll take your word for it. When I need new ones, I grab a couple at the gun shop when we’re there. I just know they’re not vaping batteries

Protected batteries are generally a different chemistry that has a LOT lower CDR.
Even when they are the same chemistry, they tend to be physically longer, because of the protection circuit board, and don't fit a lot of mods.
If you get bored, google "protected batteries vs. IMR" and fasten your seatbelt........

I buy in bulk for the ones that need them, and get a substantial discount. Let me know when you need some.
I also get the CR2032 batteries for sights at about 4% above cost.

OK. While we're on the subject of older tech... I am trying to rebuild this for a friend at work. Does anybody know the size Allen wrench I would need for this? All of mine are too big.
Thanks in advance. I am thinking of just giving him one of my older RDAs.

Can’t I just have recipes or something instead? My brain is full enough

That's women stuff and WAY too complicated for my tiny male brain. :pervy:

I have a few of those, though most involve beer.
Untar will have some of those too.

I'd go for the wasp nano RDA, ammit might be too tight.

The Ammit was on sale for the normal price of the Wasp.
I told him to get the Ammit, he could get the Wasp at that price anyday.

Figured if he was that curious about the 2 of them, he'd wind up with both eventually anyway.

.9mm isn't it?
More common at an RC shop than a hardware store.
A slightly smaller Torx bit will work as well.
Cheers.
