Back on back on the iPad and entering into day 4 of computer hell. Bought a memory stick on Friday to insert in my old computer. It did not work so I took it and my computer back to the store today.seems more memory can be installed but Micro center does not have the kit. (Four sticks each with 2gb, to replace all four sticks in there now that have 1gb) because it is old he recommending I just get something else. I am unwilling to try out windows 10 so I was left to buy something refurbished. Seemed like the best choice so I did it. Came home with an HP. Only to find my monitor cord does not work on it. Off to Best buy for the VGA cord. Then next problem is it keeps saying I am not connected to The Internet and after several calls to tech support it is determined something is bad and it needs to be returned. So tomorrow will make the third trip ( 40 miles) to the %#^*+ store and it is times like this I wish I had a husband. My dilemma? I want my familiar computer with more memory. I would say at this point maybe I would try one of those online places and get the kit BUT and this is where I break to tears..when I bought the refurbished, I had them take out my hard drive and I sent my old computer away with them to recycle.

Sounds like a giant pain in the ... to avoid trying out Windows 10. I'd just try Windows 10.

@chanelvaps – sounds like you are taking 3 steps back to go one step forward. I know this is a vaping forum, but any questions about computers feel free to ask or even send me a PM. I’m sure I’m not alone by saying this but more than willing to help. Any particular reason why you are unwilling to try Win 10?
Hah! No juul silly boy. Pods sound like a lot of trouble for what you get. (And, the oops mod I bought for him has already been “rehomed”.) I’m just picky at this point. Especially with the FDA clawing at the door, I don’t feel like wasting $$ on either low quality, not exactly what I want, or lacking in durability. It just doesn’t make sense any more.We're gonna go through all this work for @NolaMel and she's just gonna buy a Juul instead and then claim sh'e just gonna use it for a bit and pass to the son-in-law.

Problem is that unless you want TC or Replay, everything is gonna be kinda downhill after the DB IMHO.
